Laurel River Club is an organic farm that is also a wonderful bed and breakfast.
The charming 120-year-old house is beautifully maintained and has a lovely homey feeling.
This family farm is run by the large and friendly Waybright family.
Laurel River Club Farm is known as "Cutting Edge Agritourism" and is located on the banks of the Dry Fork River in a valley between two mountain ranges of incredible beauty.
The farm's owners, Marsha and Kendall, and their large, close-knit family are very welcoming, and we were honored to witness their inspiring lifestyle.
Marsha is an incredibly accomplished and driven individual!
Mrs. Marsha has demonstrated outstanding leadership and innovation in the agri-tourism industry and is an award-winning entrepreneur.
Marsha's son Collin is always happy to show guests his magnificent birds of prey and how to train them.
By watching this video to the end you will get an insight into the life of birds of prey and talk to falconer Collin Waybright who will introduce you to the world of falconry and show you one of these amazing birds.
Marsha's youngest daughter, Josie, took us around the manor to introduce us to the graceful horses grazing in the meadow, to the pigs and piglets, she showed us unusual breeds of chickens and rabbits.
Another daughter, Kendra. Her passion lies in handcrafted items and animal husbandry.
She raises Finnish sheep and Angora rabbits, using their wool to make many of her exquisite fiber products.
Mr. Kendall is always happy to share his experience as a fisherman with guests of the farm, and under his guidance you can learn the basics of fishing techniques.
Rest assured, you will be lucky enough to try fresh fish caught from the Dry Fork River for dinner.
Mrs. Marsha offers her guests home-style, farm-to-table cuisine made with fresh ingredients sourced directly from their farm, showcasing the rich flavors of West Virginia culture.
Marsha's dedication has garnered acclaim, with Laurel Fork Farm earning the title of Conservation Farm of the Year for Tucker County 2023.
If you like nature and animals, this is the place for you.
This is a Very Special Place!
Do you still farm up the Laurel?
