IDK, neither window settings, panels preferences nor shortcuts have been transferred from C11 to C12 👎 with the help of the profile manager.

Still a mega hassle top update Cubase and retain all your settings. Why cant they do something about this after all these years like offer to import all settings from previous version when installing. And I wish they would stop making Cubase they're new Nuendo. Each update is more stuff taken over from Nuendo which the majority of Cubase users wont use.

Hello Chris. I can't transfer my colour preferences form Cubase 9 to 10, and I can't find how adjust the colours of barlines or ruler selected zone etc. Could you please help me on this? Thank you very much. :)

Hi Chris, thanks for the explanation. I'm currently considering upgrading from Elements 9.5. to Pro. I has a lot of problems to get my Yamaha Moxf working with Cubase Elements. Also it was a hell of a job to register some libraries, Kontakt-Player and to get them working.
Fortunately I got great assistance from the guys at Sound-Iron and EastWest. They really pulled me through. So my only question is if my Moxf and my library 's will stay untouched. I don't want to go through the whole installation- and registration process again cause I have no idea how they got it all to work.
Thanks in advance for your reply.

P.s. I just tried to find "Profile manager" but I don't have this option :-(

In my case, it's all the MIDI effects presets that didn't carry over into the Presets folder located in the hidden AppData folder - Steinberg support told me to copy the contents of Presets folder located in the program directory and paste it into the hidden folder - it has to be in BOTH places. Personally, I would really like to see Steinberg get rid of the 9_5_64 and 10_64 suffix on their data folders. It's starting to be a pain to always have to move things manually. They should just name it "Cubase" and ask us if we want to import preferences and presets from previous version, the way Adobe does.

Hi chris, whats your way of transferring Channel, Track and VST presets (Cubase VST) ? i have a bunch that i have created my self and the only way i found doing it was copying manually. Problem is they are stored in many locations. Also i lost my preset ratings in Padshop and Retrologue.. maybe you have an idea, thanks!

Thanks Chris. I’m still on pro9. Maybe when i buy a New computer i will change. I think my computer will slow down when 9 and 10 are both on it....? And if you install 10 on same computer you have to reinstall all vst’s again..? (Komplete from N.I, nexus, ...?)
Anyone knows what best to choose for project setup . 44kH 16 bit..? Pan law..?
I always choose 44/16. When i change to 48kH everything is messed up.. positions of parts are not on grid.. Why.? Is there a vid on that..?
Thanks🙏

Good to know! Luckily I didn't have to do anything since the transition from 9.5 to 10 went sooooo smoothly... And I really enjoy the new version by the way. Great features, super smooth workflow and, yes, it does sound better - can't say exactly what it is but there's difference. New features are nicely implemented as well. So, thanks Chris. As always, cheers from "les Îles de la Madeleine" ;-)

That one is a little dangerous, only do it if you're 100% sure your profile is 100% ok. I just crashed my Cubase 10 royally and then decided its better to start from fresh :)
