Just wanted to leave my pre-exam stats for people heading into the exam - you've got this!
UWorld first pass - 53% correct and 90% complete
UWorld Form 1 score - 190 (17th percentile) - 2 weeks before exam date
UWorld Form 2 score - 176 (8th percentile) - 1 week before exam date
NBME full length exams (not done - I would highly recommend AGAINST skipping these!)
Step 1 Test Day (April 1st, 2022) - Felt nervous afterwards but pretty good in reflection :)
Step 1 Score (Released April 13, 2022) - PASSED (No score breakdown available)
Happy to take questions if you have any. My practice test scores were a product of me doing the forms at 3 AM after working but also I think that UWorld is actually just harder than the Step 1. Best of luck!
Do you have a video on advice for applying to residency? My friend tells me they can’t apply to residency until they have completed the USMLE Step 1. Is this correct?
ОтветитьThank you ❤
ОтветитьShould I do UWorld on Random or System-wise mode, and if random how to tackle those questions of undone systems like biostatics, ... to not get those questions wasted?
ОтветитьIm a resident in my country and I’m preparing for usmle step 1 😭 please pray for me, any advice ?
ОтветитьFirst time I see someone saying that did 30, 40, 50% in first pass UW. Everyone says they do 60,70 and this is so discouraging. ☺️
ОтветитьHi, anyone who took the step 1 recently? What do you think are the high yields you have encountered? or any repetitive high yield topics?
ОтветитьCongrats on your passing score but unfortunately this video is quite misleading. There's no way you can pass Step 1 by only doing U-World questions, you clearly have some background from studying in medical school or rotations that would substitute the required knowledge from First Aid. I tried this method of only doing U-World and it wasn't great at all. This is a major exam for all medical students and it's important to clarify how you got all that knowledge outside of U-World that assisted you in passing the actual exam. For anyone reading this, do First Aid and U-World questions together then take the Step 1 exam. Don't risk getting a bad score over these tips that unfortunately don't reflect the full scope of one's knowledge and how they studied for a major exam...
ОтветитьI follow around 25+ med school channel, I truly believe YOU ARE THE BEST FROM FAR, I don't know how you're not nb1 in the game. The way you talk, and your whole vibe is just great. No fancy light, no pretentious attitude and idiotic advices delivered in 25min explanations with useless Ipad drawing . SO GOOD. You just feel like a caring and honest dude wanting to help students to work harder. Thank you.
ОтветитьHi scored a three digit score of 200 on nbme 22 ,7 weeks out,is this a good score since i just started uworld a week ago ?
ОтветитьAwesome!!! ❤ where did you buy the Stethoscope
ОтветитьYou are real. !!
ОтветитьIf you do your previously incorrect q's, they get moved to your correct pool
how can you figure out your first pass score?
The most realistic video out there.
ОтветитьAnking ? how do I get anki cards?
ОтветитьI am a 32yo IMG back at '15 and I recently started studying for Step1. Truth is what kept me from doing it during med school and afterwards during residency years (mocrobiology) was both mental and financial issues. So my age is worrying me too much having to work simultaneously and most importantly what you said about memorisation I tried anki and seems too superficial and just rote learning and so thata applies for first aid it is impossible to rote learn first aid that said of you get a question implying prader willi and multiple choices ask for chromosome not remembering the chromosomes out of heart is rote rearning not understanding. Whats your opinion? I would appreciate your time for my concern? TIA
ОтветитьLove the picture behind you. Mindset IS everything 😄
ОтветитьThank yoouu !! Best of luck to you too for Step 2 CK
ОтветитьExcellent...
Thanks man!
so what was your final score?
ОтветитьIs GPA affect usmle?
Ответитьthank you for a very reassuring video!!! my Uworld scores are pretty similar to yours and I was getting concerned...but I'm gonna push through by God's grace!
ОтветитьThank you so much for the best advice and congratulations on passing the exam!!! I've been looking for an IMG going through the same stuff I am going through. What I loved the most is you sharing your Uworld comulative score. I am doing Uworld, and my cumulative score is 51% (after 78% of questions, with a slight overall positive slope). I was so depressed until I saw your video (best ever). Thank you so much!
I am pretty much using everything you used except I rarely annotate FA, and I have no idea where I need to go to find the ANKI flash cards. I googled my ass off, and I have no idea where this database is. Any advice on that would be greatly appreciated!!
Hello, if I do a paediatric residency in US, will it be valid in Canada?
Is clearing USMLE step 1 and 2 CK enough to practice in Canada?
can you please help me by answering these questions.
Hello Sir, Congratulations on passing USMLE Exams 🎉
Please guide that which systems and subjects we should cover first during step 1 prep ?
Why are you writing Step 1? I thought a Canadian trained doctor can compete for residency in the USA without Steps.
ОтветитьThis was the best and detailed video I’ve ever watched. Can I ask your advice about uworld question? Why do you prefer choose mix questions instead of doing with per system? Is it more easier? Thank you so much. I hope you can reply my question 😊
ОтветитьSince it has become pass/fail exam do you still recommend i do usmle step 1 book and pathoma or just go for uworld qbank and learn from explanations. Note: i did step2 qbank multiple times and took it before step 1
ОтветитьMuch needed video😭♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thankyou so muchhhhh
Congratulations 🎊
ОтветитьI want to pass usmle
ОтветитьBrother y have any notes to study usmle
ОтветитьI want something for one month
ОтветитьAmazing bro, really perfect video!
ОтветитьDid you do
Anking?
How were you able to do around 140 QS per night (3-5 hours)? I am having trouble in doing more than 50 QS. My percentage is the same (53%), however I have not done as many QS as you. Any advice in how to push myself? I really want to tackle in 3 months or less ( if possible). Thanks. Great video by the way.
ОтветитьHey, thanks for the video! Its great. Can you tell what NBMEs to focus on since there are a bunch of them. Thanks
ОтветитьThank you
I Hope I could pass the exam too 🌷.
Do u mind sharing what were you scores for the nbmes?
ОтветитьI got 250 on step2 ck and don’t really feel like studying much for step 1, is it likely that i will pass step 1 without much studying?
ОтветитьThanks for these tips! You mentioned a 53% success rate after completion of 90%, but I was wondering if you could share what was your success rate closer to the exam, let's say 2 weeks prior to the exam. Thanks!
ОтветитьLove your video! Planning to do step 1 test by the end of this year , appreciate your advices ❤️🤗
Ответитьplease ...can you make a video of the pathway to take for IMG in order to practise medicine in canada ...thank you for your precious infos
ОтветитьIMG here preparing for both Canadian and usmle. Pathway. I genuinely like your videos a lot.
ОтветитьStudying from UWorld is enough?
ОтветитьFirst, It was an absolutely enlightining video for me and thank you! Second, yesterday I took the exam and before the exam I was so nerveous and questioned myself if I should delay the exam or not bcs last week, correct ratio of my free120 was 65%, nbme30 was 52%(which was disaster), nbme 29 was 59% and uworld stats were similar to your's. I watched your video and saw so many similarities with your story so decided to attend the exam... In the exam, everything felt like it was like having a test exam in my home at last days, nothing more difficult or easier than that. The exam was not easy at all and yes I found myself in a dilemma for many questions but whatever I didn't feel like I did a disaster exam.. Anyways I really wish to pass this exam and would like to here some motivational words from you hahahahh
ОтветитьHeloo i am going right now freshly for step 1 so what are the study resources should I get and start
Ответить
