I’m sorry youtude is so dumb. I prayed for you to conquer this hurdle, because clearly you have invested a lot of time, energy and probably money creating original content! Thankyou for this awesome movie! God bless you!
ОтветитьAUDREY A MUSA SAGRADA , DIVINA , OCULTISTA , ETERNA E IMORTAL
ОтветитьWHAT A MOVIE!!!I LOVED IT!REAL FACINATION❤😂THANK YOU!!!
ОтветитьEnjoyed the movie, and the trivia, Thanks
Ответитьفلم جميل بل رائع واداء متقن وبسيط.تحياتي🎉
ОтветитьOne of the most beautiful love stories ❤️
ОтветитьHaving a detailed dossier on one’s partner, would be very useful.
ОтветитьHe's twice her age 🤢
ОтветитьGood job with the occasional trivia; I hope it keeps the movie from being yanked. I do wish the movie was better ... or done a decade later with a different cast. Wilder (as usual) was about 5-10 years ahead of his time. The movie was a hit in dirty old Europe but flopped in squeaky clean America, who just wasn't yet ready for the notion of Gary Cooper and Audrey Hepburn embarking on a frankly s*xual affair. The other problem, of course, was that Coop was really too old for this sort of thing. It was basically a 30-year age gap between the leads. And his health was quickly declining, at this time from incessant ulcers. In just 4 years it would be cancer, an aggressive prostrate version that spread like wildfire and quickly took him off the earth.
These people, Cooper, Hepburn, Wilder, Chevalier, were GIANTS. So why wasn't the movie they made together better? Well, as I said, it was ahead of its time in the States. In the 60s, this could've been a "s*x comedy" in the "Pillow Talk" style, but pre-Pill, those type of movies didn't exist in the States. No wonder the movie takes place in Paris! Some of the gags here are as old as the history of film: tired, musty, smelling of Grandma's attic. There are too many violins, I swear to g*d. Too much La Vie en Rose. What was the Dutch boyfriend's purpose? The comic plump actor wasn't comic enough - you get the point. Just too many misfires. And yet, the movie delivers a touching ending (mostly thanks to Audrey, who sells it hard) that it frankly hasn't earned.
I kind of like "Afternoon" anyway, despite its flaws. It's weird how much I enjoy Audrey Hepburn now - I never cared for her when I was younger. Too bony, too "iconic", too Givenchy. More an institution than a person. But I've realized what a spicy personality she was. And unafraid. A movie like this was a risk for her, given her perfect, wholesome branding, the ingenue of ineffable innocence, blah blah. Here, she just wants to get laid. Respect.
So touching! 💘
ОтветитьWow. Everything she wore in this movie are spectacular. She walked so beautifbly in every dress and so well taylor fit perfectly!. Thank you for sharing. Absolutely love this film.
ОтветитьStupendo film!!!!
ОтветитьI’ve loved this movie for years. Somehow they made the age difference work!
ОтветитьWonderful ! Billy, Audrey and Gary are the best !
ОтветитьMuy buena. Gracias por el subtitulado en castellano ❤
ОтветитьSabrina was released in 1954.
Love in the Afternoon was released in 1957.
Breakfast at Tiffany's was released in 1961.
We see the evolution of the characters proposed to Audrey Hepburn, more and more mature. And she was able to inspire deeper and deeper feelings in the characters. See the ending scene in the rain of Breakfast at …
(Ariane, no Sabrina)
ОтветитьAudrey was such a good actress!❤
ОтветитьAudrey i love you!
Ответить❤
Ответить❤😊👍🙏🏿🙏🏿
ОтветитьMaurice Chevalier and Gary Cooper were the same age. I remember when Maurice died in 1970.
ОтветитьGoodness this could be repeated over and again for me ..with it getting better with each viewing..Cooper and Hepburn are in total sinc…Maurice Chevalier keeps to French connection in motion…completing this perfect film made in 1957 being totally gorgeous..❤❤❤
ОтветитьThe magic touch of spirit and imagination which made dead rolls of film an inspiring place to sojourn. What a good idea also by Mel Ferrer having lead Ms. Hepburn to St. Moritz to get well. Thankyou 😊
ОтветитьWhat a beautiful film! 😍 😍 😍 Oh my goodness such great acting by Gary Cooper & Audrey Hepburn❤ also my favorite Maurice Chevalier role.
ОтветитьAudrey Hepburn was a natural; what an actress and what a natural beauty!!!
ОтветитьI love this film ❤ Wish I could find one this good every day ( I'm 70 and watch a lot of movies). Fantastic actors and story ! And the music, too ❤😊
Ответить❤❤❤
ОтветитьI won't watch this because of the endless stupid comments posted throughout the movie.
ОтветитьAudrey made some phone calls with some telephone coins in the public phone booth. It was romantic. Nowadays she might use her male friend’s cellular phone and she said her iPhone had no battery.
ОтветитьHis exchange with the musicians is hilarious.
ОтветитьThis was delicious viewing. I have the DVD here, and the videoof old movies came up. I love Audrey's role had her listing all the so called boyfriends she had encountered while Mr Flannigan was away. Perfect Hepburn casting. She is the most beautiful in any of her films, in this role, I think.
Ответитьlove the subtitle commentary! great to know about our State Dept & Chevalier, for ex. interesting tidbits that echo to this day, sadly. but....ahhhhh, who is Gary Grant? lol!
ОтветитьThrilling! But no.
Mr. Flannagan has found himself a new identity as an aging father with a new daughter.
And she has found herself a second father, this one with very bad habits.
Much sorrow awaits each of them.
Had I been 12 or 13 years old, I would have loved this movie without an iota of insight.
But no. "Love In the Afternoon" requires a next chapter in which truth prevails, as they say on the left bank.
Cary Grant would have been closer to Audrey Hepburn’s age than Gary Cooper. Cary would have been better in it I ❤think.
Ответитьlovely !
Ответитьthank you for this beautiful movie, but, sorry to say, trivia is just disturbing...... If someone is interesting in those facts..... can find them in wikipedia, for example...
ОтветитьGreat movie, and the trivia about the actors, directors, and movie awards just added to the enjoyment.
ОтветитьGoodness — what a lovely film. And may I further add you’ve outdone yourself by adding the trivia captions — by doing so, you’ve created a unique niche for yourself as compared to other content creators who share classic films!! AND ty for referencing the „community tab“ — I just happily voted a great big YES! My sincerest thanks again for creating such a meaningful viewing experience!! 🥰
ОтветитьOh no... that horrible woman hit the Yorkie. The dog was not bad. Told it was bad and then spanked... must have been stunned and confused..
ОтветитьThis was great, I was expecting an over-dramatized and serious story of a love-affair — but was curious; I was delighted to find that this movie was sweet and funny — light-hearted and a little bit touching at the end.
My favourite Charcters were the ‘Gypses’ and Ariannas’ Father.
I like Audrey Hepburn, but wish that she would have stretched her acting muscles — instead of always playing herself in every role.
…I also wish that She’d not used the effected English-accent all the time, using a French-accent in this film would have been much better, for example.
Thanks for uploading; I appreciate it greatly!
Thanks for this upload. The Gypsies in the Steam Bath was hilarious. They made the movie!
ОтветитьSir, I want to thank you for posting such a wonderful movie and for adding the "trivia" about the actors. It was very interesting and when you appreciate somebody's ability to deliver an excellent storyline like "love in the afternoon," you can't help but wonder a little bit about the actors lives. Adding these bits enhanced am I enjoyment of the movie. Thank you again..
ОтветитьA delightful movie. Thank you for posting it. I RoccoMend this movie.
