When im pretty much doing anything loud i use over ear protection with the passthrough. Theres cheap options for those. You can even get a pair that has coms for your friend. Kinda like the peltier ones we used.

I've got tinitis pretty bad you get used to it but best of all it was caused by faulty 3M earplugs I used in the army and as of last month we got a 7 billion dollar judgment from 3M. Not sure how many people are in the lawsuit but tinitis pretty much paid off lol

Omg everything in this video is great. Your simulation of what tinnitus sounds like and what you hear with tinnitus is very informative for people who don’t know what you experience. The best part of the review is the simulation of what you heard when using the ear plugs. Often you’ll just hear people describe or explain what they hear, which is different if you heard what they sound like, even if they were simulated. Those are awful reviews, but this is a freakin great review. Thumbs up.

If ear plugs stop it I'm fairly certain it's not tinnitus

My wife knows that if I ever take my own life, it’s solely because of my never ending, always horrific, tinnitus. Your example is almost EXACTLY what I deal with every single day. I’m losing hope and happiness knowing I’m just stuck with it.

I've had tinnitus for years and is absolutely sucks! After over 1000 concerts without ear protection my ears ring constantly and it has great affected my life. Makes it very hard to sleep and I have not had true silence in what seems like forever. The worst.

Do you feel the ringing increasing when there is a change of pressure? I mean, the ringing getting permanently worse after you've flown and your ears did hurt a lot that time during the decompression period... I have some problems with my respiratory canals and that seems to make these pressure changes to hurt a lot more than it does on regular people, and I started getting the ringing regularly since a few years ago, and Im trying to figure out what can have caused this increase, Im suspecting it may be related with these pressure changes...

I've had tinnitus all my life. I blame my brother and his fondness of throwing firecrackers. I can remember when it happened, I was about 7 years old and he of course was throwing lit fire crackers, and of course a fuse was to short, he panicked and threw it in my face. The very loud high pitched tone started and has never went away. I have three different tones, a low pitched and two high pitched. I can't really do anything about it and it's always there so I tune it out most of the time. That is until some starts talking about it and now I am paying attention to it. There are certain things I can't hear, and somethings that drive me nuts. The high pitched noises like Styrofoam cups or coolers squeaking hurts my ears and gives me an instant headache. There are certain tones that blend in with the constant tones and They seem to blend into the background noise. My son has a certain tone of voice I struggle to hear. I have my phone turned all the way up So I can hear what he is trying to say. I feel really bad about it, but I again can't do anything about it.

I went into the Marines in the very early 80s to work on jets. The hearing protection standards were far less stringent then they are now and as a result I have had tinnitus since I was 19. You do adjust to it but first thing in the morning or during stress it sure does remind you it is lurking and waiting to zap you.

Thanks for the review, What sucks for me is that my tinnitus is really loud right now and it makes it hard to tell the difference when actually trying to hear the review. I got my tinnitus using those crappy ear plugs the army gave us when we were escorting tank convoys... I try to ignore it but it is difficult to say the least. , I've been looking for something better but right now because of the current flare up I can barely tell the difference. I may just need to order a few and try them...

Even after turning up the volume on my computer to 100%, I could barely hear your simulated Tinnitus over my own that I have had so long that I have no memory of not having it. Several years ago, I had an experience in which my Tinnitus went silent and I was shocked at how quiet everything had gotten and how easily I could now hear others conversing around me. I remember thinking, "WOW! "Is this what normal people can hear?" but sadly the Tinnitus reappeared a few minutes later.

Thanks for this video. I have tried several more expensive brands and always been disappointed. I am going to try Eargasm and see if they work ok. My Tinnitus is pretty bad but only really bothers me when it is quite, or I watch a video about it which makes me pay attention to it. It is screaming right now! My daughter is a musician and I have bought her several more expensive pairs also and she agrees they all block the highs too much. But I keep trying because I don't want her to have to live with Tinnitus like I do.

Interesting that you played the tone because it's exactly what I hear. It's always been one of those things where it's like, "but isn't that everyone? Tinnitus would be like being tortured or something". Granted it's not 24/7 per se, i can often times tone down the volume, or ignore it, or tune it out completely.

Mornings are the worst for my Tinnitus. When it's quiet, the ringing is the loudness. To many rock concerts, Slayer, George Thorohgood, RATT, Greatfull Dead, Lamb of God, Behemoth, Bob Dylan, punk shows, etc etc..

You can't block a sound that doesn't exist. Earplugs will only intensify the issue. This is not a sound issue it's your brain not being able to interpret signals coming from what's left of the hair like bone structures your ears use to "hear" sound. If you were actually hearing real sound then you could play back those frequencies out of phase and cancel them out. This is how noise cancelling headphones work. Earplugs don't fix your brain, so don't expect earplugs to be effective. That's just silly.

I’ve tried Loops and the XS size that came with the set were still too big for my ears. They offer XXS but you have to purchase them separately after already spending $40 on the original pair, so I gave up and just returned them. They made everything sound underwater and also they kind of created a really painful suction in both of my ears. Maybe the XXS would have worked better, idk. I recently purchased the Vibes and once again, I had to use the smallest size in the package but I think it fits my ear better as there’s less painful suction. The problem is that sound to me in them is so so muffled. I went to a concert last night and I couldn’t even hear people’s conversations next to me. When the music began, it sounded muffled and was extremely hard to understand the singing and lead singer talking in between songs. I’m really discouraged bc concerts are my happy place but after 15 or so concerts with my hearing unprotected, I know I have tinnitus. I’m pretty sure I had it as a kid even because I’d hear the high pitched humming sound out of nowhere. The Vibes I used last night sound nothing like this video from my experience. I’m wondering if my hearing has already been too damaged or if I’m wearing the wrong size or fit still.

I've tried Eargasms and a few clones and I wouldn't recommend them. At concerts, I've found that at least one always gets stuck in my ear by the last band And I have to either deal with it until I can get home and find something to grab them with or slowly work them out on the train ride home. It's not a problem when just putting them in carefully and leaving them but taking them off in between bands and trying to put them in quickly after having a few drinks always leads to them getting stuck.

You can get relatively inexpensive custom fit earth plugs; in my opinion it’s impossible to beat custom fit ear plugs. I like the duel component custom moldable plugs and use them regularly.
