The hospital was Private Academic Hospital for anyone wondering in Istanbul it said in an article. She didn’t get oxygen during anesthesia so seems like malpractice

Even though I am turkish citizen, I advice anyone who is thinking about coming to Turkey for cheap surgery to think twice about it.
There can be complications in a surgery but the courts will take years to bring justice and the sufferer wont get anything if at all.

Why don’t they reveal the names of the doctors? This is useless if no doctors are named

This can happen in any country (and for a lot more money). I am in a support group for women who have suffered complication from these surgeries. A large number of women in this group are from Australia, where the cost of plastic surgeries is comparatively more expensive then countries such as the USA, UK, Canada.

And hhen l suppode yhey expect to get it treatment free in the NHD???!!!

Something else the NHS has to pay for. Make them pay to have it fixed as well. Can’t just blame Turkey, people need to take responsibility for their bodies and if they go for cheap surgery and it goes wrong, pay for it to be corrected yourself. This is why people are on waiting list for operations for so long because of idiots like this.

These complaints about botched surgery-on-the-cheap should have good Turkish doctors pretty upset about their corner-cutting, careless and sloppy colleagues hurting people and giving legitimate Turkish medical professionals a bad name. Hope they step up and fight this scary trend.
