Distrokid deleted all my music under the name COVERBOY and ENCHANTING SOULS with out no warning or with no reason and the royalty fee has been removed too.. can they do that with out just informing it to the client. All platforms are gone too. my 3 years of work. Shame on you distro.kid..🤢🤮🤮🤢🤮🤬😡😡

Hi! Quick question …. So if you choose that middle plan that affords you the choice of release date, can you then upload it , and get any potential links worked out prior to release date ? Like I want it sitting there ready to go since I’ll be promoting it 20 days prior to release date.

Well it sounds like the upgrade to the Musician Plan is just about choosing your label, which is great, but even more importantly it allows you to choose a release date and have a release schedule. Personally, that's the main reason why I upgraded. But yeah choosing your own "label" makes a huge difference too.

Years of working with DK and TuneCore.
DistroKid is only good for Cover songs imo. Just because they have the most headache-free process to do it. Very straightforward and fast.
However, I think TuneCore wins for everything else. They are very straightforward and with no weird “add-ons” which let’s face it - in DK most of these add-ons should be free.
These are just my 2 cents.

they turn of comments on any video uploaded via distrokid and get fuck all views, distrokid fucks creators and tries censoring music artwork n the label i dont know how they make money either artist or company

Well, I hear that Distrokid is not honoust in streams & sales statements. You can check by purchasing and streaming it yourself and check the statement. If it lacks downloads I suggest to globally address Distrikid of this fact. I've heard about this disshounesty too much. I don't know what aggragator to trust anymore. You has suggestions?

I have a friend that wants to upload music from her late grandfather for that would distrokid be the best or is there a different option? Also if it is distrokid then would you just have pay the $20 once and once its uploaded its uploaded? or do you have to continue to pay the $20 even if you don't upload anything ever again?
