ОтветитьBeautiful created vid 👌👏👏👏
Ответить23 out of 25 brands (do I get a Tag and a Nomos) or see a doctor for my addiction
ОтветитьI picked up one of those 90s Oris pointer dates last month for about £850, totally agree that the older models offer the best value. The same beautiful design but the addition of a guilloche texture dial, applied indices and a two tone case and bracelet, for almost half the price of the current models!
ОтветитьMicrobands is a great idea. Smiths (time factors)brew islander Lorier Halios Dan Henry Formex
ОтветитьWhat's the website you're using in the video?
ОтветитьIf you are looking for good deals in more expensive watches don't forget to look at sales and discounts on websites of mainstream High Street ADs. My best deal ever was a Nomos sitting on Goldsmiths website last New Year sale, but I've done very well from Beaverbrooks, Ernest Jones, CW Sellors, H.Samuel, and some smaller brick and mortar ADs too.
ОтветитьPhoebos, Jack Mason and Aragon
ОтветитьI would like to see a video like this (25 best value) divers only. Thanks!
ОтветитьI love this value post regarding watches. Very useful. Thank you.
ОтветитьYes please
ОтветитьWow man- congrats! One of the best watch suggestions I've ever seen :)
Wish Glycine and Certina were also there, though- which of their models would you choose?
Microbrands, yes please. Helm, newmark Zelos Phantasos are Christopher Ward still micro..
ОтветитьI used to own the white/silver dial ss bracelet version of the Tissot Couturier you featured first, and for its typical selling price of around $300 it is a remarkably high quality watch and an amazing value.
ОтветитьThe Hamilton Khaki automatic looks so stylish whatever strap its on! Great list, great video as always. Cheers Kieron 👍
ОтветитьCould you do the review of the SEIKO SPB 249 sir❤
ОтветитьMicro brands yes! Zelos Christopher Ward
Ответитьsome bargains to be had
ОтветитьA micro brand you should look at is Draken from New Zealand
ОтветитьYes please!!! Make a 25 best microbrands video. Christopher Ward, Brew, Lorier, Baltic, and many more… thanks for the contents
ОтветитьMake it.
Ответитьmicrobands : Zelos, Baltic, Halios, Unimatic
ОтветитьWhy do you, and other reviewers, use dollars as your price points? you're not a yank, so why alienate brits? maybe you just wannabe a septic tank...
ОтветитьBaltany
ОтветитьDon't have anything particularly fancy but have got a number of watches. Had a Nite with tritium tubes. Had to get it serviced several times. Couldn't deal with humidity. When a watch repairer opened back was surprised to see it was rusting inside. Replaced rubber bracelet several times within couple years. They use a very basic Thai manufactured i.e. cheap as chips movement. Plus the thing they sold it on - the illumination- faded within 5 yrs. Always a bit wary of smaller trendy brands. That was a fail. Got several Seikos that have just had serviced including a green dial Sarb Alpinist. Still looks amazing several years on. Have a cheapish Swatch that gave up the ghost. A Timex whose back keeps falling off despite returning it to the dealer twice. Had a Seiko diver for over 20 years which worked fine apart from scratched glass. Gave it away. Now run a basic Casio G Shock which is hellish to change time zones. Unnecessarily so. Again had to take to dealer to reset to country of origin time zone. Would love an Omega Speedmaster and could get one tomorrow. Problem I see is that all watches have failings and if one wants a regular reliable watch that keeps time, doesn't need winding and takes a beating then the G Shock is hard to beat. Much as I love the fancier brands and ogle them.
Ответить👍
ОтветитьCW sealander gmt for me ❤
ОтветитьOne of the best overview vids I’ve seen in a while … and yes, would love the microbrands
ОтветитьHydronaut? Really? 😄
ОтветитьWhy would you pay over a grand for a second hand watch in fair condition? Sometimes you just cant buy class....
ОтветитьI don't think you can go wrong with a 1980's Rolex Air-King-Date. You can pick them up for less than £3k. An extra £400 or so will get you a full service by a Rolex authorised watchmaker and you'll be good for the next fifteen years. Maybe too small for some, but I never liked big watches myself. A bonus is that this model has never been copied/faked, so there's never any doubt about originality. It wears nicely too, with its small(ish) size and plastic crystal's light weight.
ОтветитьHave you actually physically seen and assessed any of these watches?
ОтветитьBro it’s longin not lon jeans
ОтветитьMarathons are amazingly designed and great looking. But they have quality control issues.
ОтветитьCan't believe that I wasn't subscribed (until now), I regually watch your vids as a reliable source of watch info, (amongst others obviouly) and I guess I just assumed that I'd subscribed. Well, I am now.
ОтветитьIt’s hard to beat the Ball Trainmaster Cannonball for value for an introductory luxury watch. There are quite a few costing several thousand more than this watch that do not have the build quality, complications and ruggedness of this particular Ball watch brand.
ОтветитьNomos design resembless those cheap minimalistic brans (daniel sellington or those even cheaper ones)
Ответитьwhat would your pick from baltic be? also do you think the diver or gmt from baltic is worth their higher price tag? I found myself loving the look of their aquascaphe but worried that it might be over priced
ОтветитьGreat video! I would love to see you do a video about shopping for and buying a used Swiss watch. I'm currently looking for one (Omega Seamaster, specifically) and I would love some guidance!
ОтветитьEven though I love them, watches are the worst money investment ever, specially the ones that devalue after you purchase them. Watches are not like cell phones or TV's that can improve your day to day life, watches are all about vanity and material possession at its finest.
So IMHO any good quality watch over $200 is just money wasted and luxury possession; there's no "good money for value" when it comes to those watches. But that being said there's no other accessory that gives me the confidence and happiness that a watch does.
Just started the hobby and you are by far one of my favorite channels. Its a crime you dont have a million subs already
