Thank you so much for all your kind words, stories, shares, and encouragement 💛 Your support and gratitude means so much to me 🧡 I'm going through comments and coming up with answers to your great questions, which I'll answer in upcoming videos! In the meantime, I've added chapters to this video so you can more easily refer back to sections as you need them. See you soon ✨
ОтветитьSuch an awesome video, so glad I found it! With that said I am so overwhelmed lol. Is there a good book that breaks down all the good things to grow for crop and drop, nitrogen fixers, pollinators etc and planting them together to be beneficial?
ОтветитьExcellent presentation on permaculture. Every garden has strengths and weaknesses, but I'd like to know if you know of any gardens where a weak point are rats/mice that won't let the soil sit. They are constantly turning the soil and mulch so that the weed seeds are exposed to the sunlight and germinate. I'd like to know if anyone has had a similar experience and how they deal with the situation.
ОтветитьWow beautiful garden ❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьThis video is amazing and I found it at just the right time!! I just bought my property and I am super anxious to get started - with everything!! But this video calmed me down a bit and now I want to take it slowly, plan, organize.....Thank you!!
ОтветитьJust. a kind note: the bunnies you featured in this video aren't wildlife...they're domesticated species. It would be like saying this dog is wildlife and it's a cocker spaniel. They cannot survive on their own and unfortunately, this ignorance has caused hundreds of thousands of domestic bunnies to be dumped "into the wild" because people don't know better. I LOVE your video and all the content in it, I just needed to clarify that error as so many animals are impacted by that ignorance, and spreading it in any way is harmful. Thank you for making this video! I live in zone 7 so I'm in a slightly different circumstance than you, however, I want to learn and will be trying to implement these things in my own vegan garden. <3
ОтветитьI dream of caring for my own garden one day. I'm often afraid, because here in zone 4 (Quebec), it is hard to do anything with the aoil during winter and goung plants must develop a good root system in order to survive. However, I had never imagined we could create such an amazingly beautiful foodforest in a dry land; I'm so used to water abundancy. So I find this very inspiring. Thank you so much! I'll keep dreaming and planning and, one day maybe...
ОтветитьVery informative , I have learned new things, thank you for your service. Keep thriving and keep spreading joy and love all around 🌞🍃🌼
ОтветитьI want to enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables whenever I want and living in a sustainable healthy lifestyle.
ОтветитьThank you.
ОтветитьI don’t think I’ve ever seen such thorough coverage of the elements of creating a vibrant permaculture. Great video. Probably the best I’ve ever seen. Thanks!
Ответить"Forces unseen"
Ummm, that's called God-and since He's beyond: Time, Space, and Matter- He can easily override: Time, Space, and Matter--- nothing supernatural about it.
Amazing brain!
ОтветитьDo you have your own well that you can get water from? If you do not in the water wasn’t your first priority I realize you don’t know me and you don’t know what I do for a living and you never have seen a garden what mine looks like, but it’s better than yours And I’m gonna tell you one secret babies is all you should be thinking about is the duplication of the plants to make as many of them as possible everywhere and once you are so large, that is when you need to let the babies run away somewhere else and that’s where you’re going to make your money And if money isn’t what you’re based on, do you want to have some tranquil peace of mind then I don’t care because I had to earn my money on poverty wage to be able to get this done and by the way, I develop a new farm every year. This is the first time I said I am staying in one spot😊
ОтветитьAbsolutely incredible video! Thank you so much for creating 🙏 looking forward to more from you
ОтветитьGreat story here! About establishing the canopy layer first, that is a tough mental hurdle for a lot of people who don't really want to wait for the trees to grow for 5-10 years. Bringing in local woodchips and leafy debris will simulate an established canopy, and a few flagpoles erected with shade cloths can add the shade and mimic the sunlight. Has anyone else considered this, or even tried this? I'm still working the rat-race job, and haven't moved to my oasis yet, but that is in the works and I am going through the pre-planning phases while my wife and I decide on where and when we hang it up. If we knew where we wanted to go, I'd look at investing in some vacant land and working it up over time since the best time to plant a food forest was always 10 years ago!
ОтветитьYou can say without water no life evidence
ОтветитьWhat a beautiful video, food forest, voice, and person. New sub.
ОтветитьThis is a Great Video
ОтветитьHigh level content
ОтветитьI clicked on this video because it was about permaculture. Was only casually watching UNTIL winter solstice, equinox, and summer solstice are mentioned - that's when my ears pricked up because hey, you're my kind, sister! I've gotta see the rest of your videos now!
ОтветитьSo thankful this video came up in my feed! Perfect timing as we just purchased a home and I desired to do a food forest but didn’t know where to start. Initially I would really appreciate more information on Designing for water especially with the berms and your wood chip paths since that seems to be the first step besides the design. If there is more detail in the factors to consider with the design than you mentioned in this video, would appreciate you addressing that as well. I’m looking forward to a winter of dreaming and imagining. Thank you again! I will definitely check out your Etsy store :)
ОтветитьI am so thrilled to see someone as young as you so in love with gardening and everything that applies to it. Keep up the good work, you're in the right path! Thank you for everything
ОтветитьUsing it as a reference for the Shegenerators permaculture Hub.
ОтветитьI want a beautiful garden, healthy soils, and plenty of food for my family and our chickens. I also want a haven for the native birds.
ОтветитьHow hot does it get in your area in the summer?
ОтветитьThis got me imagining different ways I could interact with the land around me.
ОтветитьI was wondering, since you cover your paths with cuttings and wood chips, won’t the raised bed areas become not raised after just a few years? Thank you in advance for clarifying, and also for this awesome information packed video! New subscriber earned! 😊
ОтветитьJust excellent. Extremely useful.
ОтветитьIt's been my dream to grow a food forest for years now but I haven't managed it yet for a variety of reasons. At this point, it has started to feel both like the only way my life will be bearable at all again, and like I'll never manage it at all. The more time has passed the more I have lost sight of why I wanted that in the first place, and why I thought it'd be possible.
Your video reminded me that it's doable, and that I actually would love to do it and it wouldn't just be an escape. You explain everything so clearly that even when I already knew the thing, it makes so much more sense it seems almost obvious, and your clear love and care for what you do reminds me that it doesn't have to be just about survival.
Thank you so much for sharing some of your knowledge and experience with us! I hope everything goes well for you.
I planted a white mulberry (morus alba) in my Katoomba NSW garden when I moved here in 1983. It is now huge . The fruit bats and possums love it. Did I mention that I visited Bill Mollison's garden some years ago.... :-)
ОтветитьThis is one of the best explanations of permaculture. Thank you and all the best with your amazing forest!
ОтветитьYhamk you, you inspired me.
Ответитьwow very beautiful video and full of important info and advices 💗😍👍
ОтветитьThank you so much! This is a very informative and inapiring video!
Ответитьwish you would hveE asked Geoff Lawton.....anyway. nice garden
ОтветитьImagination = law of assumption = manifestation ✨
ОтветитьSending gratitude from a Daoist monastery near Seattle (USA)!
ОтветитьThank you for this informative and well-structured video. The concept of food forest is interesting and I was wondering what it would look like my northern german climate (where I currently live) ! Thanks again for the inspiration and I wish you a lot of success in your project ! (:
Ответитьthis is sooo good, it's what i needed, thank you so much 🥰
ОтветитьDo you do farm tours? I would absolutely love to check this out!
ОтветитьOoo! Excited to find a CA channel with the sameish zone! Up in Nevada County so not lovely coastal humidity, but still. Cant wait to see more.
ОтветитьPlease be careful about rainwater harvested from your roof, especially if you go a long time between rains and have composite shingles or are in a city with ambient vehicle exhaust. Waxy films develop on surfaces, trapping ambient chemicals including PAH and PCBs, and their chemistry continues in the sun. The surface itself can be a reactant. So consider filtering your roof-collected rainwater before you use it.
Ответитьฉันดีใจที่เห็นต้นไม้ที่ปลูกไว้เติบโตคุณคงคิดแบบนั้นเช่นกัน❤
ОтветитьGracias 💜✨
ОтветитьLove what you are accomplishing with your food forest ... also I realy like your hat ... where can I get one like it?
ОтветитьBeautiful thanks please I would love to know more of hold water tto have it when we need It ❤
ОтветитьExcellent presentation. I've been slowly integrating these concepts for many years (Z 7-8) with many experiments, successes, and failures but I think even the failures have provided me with experience and knowledge, plus the "failures" have also added more biomass. I love the concepts and I'm happy to see such a delightful and positive person such as yourself to educate more ! God bless!
ОтветитьLifelong resident of SLO County here. I’ve been dreaming of a garden and stumbled across this video. I have a catering business in Atascadero and we just got our first honey harvest. I’d love to connect sometime!
