My violent lesbian neighbour ditched the mother she was seeing and bashing, and married a women much stronger than herself. That relationship seems to be going OK.

The Bible outlines the reasons for divorce. Did not God himself divorce Israel? The Catholic Church is wrong.

Unbelievable and positively medieval. How is this possible in 2024? The Vatican is located in Italy and it is legal to get a divorce there. How could they have perpetrated this for so long in another country? Shocking and disgusting. Divorce has been legal in Italy since the 70s.

It won't pass in the Senate, election is next year. They will need the support of the Church. Also President Marcos and the Dutertes are not in good terms, Marcos won't dare to add another opposition to his regime.

no divorce? this is unconstitutional. Give freedom to women who were abused in their marriage. give men fear not to abuse their spouse then more happy families.. Not all people are Catholics, why do you apply this to all people? Why Filipino Muslims free to divorce?

What is the church to do with with the state?

The church doesn’t have anything to do to pass a law…they are not part if the senate nor the government.

in my decision you should let people have a choice of annulment or divorce as alot of people cant afford annulment. And there are of people that are in the phillipines that cant move own because they can move on because they are still married, and please help make this people move own to better lives if they had bad experience in there marriage and did not work out at all. And make sure you that people in the phillipines should reasonable price and not expensive at all

I left catholic for this annoyance view...catholic church in philippines is selfish because of the church leaders selfishness and narrow minded view on things...they don't care about their members wellness, they only care I think about people to suffer more in their situation so they will always rely their fate to god by going to church every Sunday and donate or give offerings.... It's only my opinion, up to others who are observant enough whether to agree or not...in Europe, except Vatican, the priests are not a problem...i can say, they are waking up in the reality and respect the essence of government by letting them do their job without using their faith as obstacles to solve lots of obstacles in marriages...
