ОтветитьNow red on
ОтветитьI'm on red nooooo? W?
ОтветитьIt’s an age thing. Older people prefer older stuffs.
Ответитьmy dream car 🤧🤧🤧
Ответитьi have a 991.1. it is a very special car, it's a touring car. i have zero expectations of high revving brute force driving. pfffffff to all you racing wannabe types.
ОтветитьThe rear of the 991.2 is significantly more harmonious than that of the 991.1. And it's a lot of fun when the engine screams at you when you're driving briskly in sports-mode.😅
ОтветитьI had 992 C2s pdk, sold and bought 991.1 C2S 7spd. It’s the best decision I have ever taken. I enjoy every second i drive the car now. The only car can match is GT3 with 6spd man.
ОтветитьThe only thing better about the 991.1 is the S wheels. They look better than the 991.2 S wheels. I wanted to buy a 991 with an S or 4S behind the 911 on the rear but after driving the base model 991.2, I was seriously impressed with the acceleration across all typical street driving scenarios. The interior updates are also greatly worth the step forward and the subtle exterior styling cues will be here a while. Add to that, steering feel and PDK improvements… that’s why my nearly $90k went for a well specd 991.2 Base Carrera rather than an S or 4S model 991.1.
Ответить“Porsche ballsed it up but he’d take it”. Is the goal of car journalists these days to be a complete nonsensical wanker?
ОтветитьThat's the problem...too much talk about the greatness of manuals and ICE / NA engines but (most) people are just lazy couch potatoes: something shifting it for me and just 2 pedals? Yes please... all the torque in the world without having to stretch my big toe? Oh yeah I'll have that... big mouths...the makers do know this well and for the rest of us who put the money where ours mouths are (both my cars are manuals and NA by the way...) there is barely anything left other than cars loaded with useless electronic junk, countless stupid modes (sometimes without a single one working properly...), (many times) laggy and distracting touch screens...requiring a pilot's preflight check list...the whole thing sucks...your money out of your pockets...even with a chip shortage affecting errrrr the gadgets... and works as a joy killer. Your outcome? Just and utterly disappointing 🤮
Ответитьcool channel :) greetings from switzerland
ОтветитьThis review basically was just hot air, they basically said nothing or gave any kind of analysis lol
Ответить991.2...who needs any more than a 911 Carrera 4 GTS Cab Guards Red...Heaven on Earth.
Ответить991.1 will increase in value. The 991.2 wont... just fact!
ОтветитьAll it takes is one small leak on either turbo and you will have crippled engine performance. I’ve experienced this first-hand and will never own a turbocharged engine again.
ОтветитьI drove 991.1 and thought its a really nice daily car. The soundtrack was good, but not so loud to be annoying in everyday use.
ОтветитьIn which year was that white launched???
ОтветитьOn my initial drive of the base Carrera 991.2, I was not blown away by the power and the sound certainly takes a hit. Extra Tq is nice for sure but I love the sound of the NA when revving it out.
Still, I think as most of us predicted when the 3.0T was launching, those who like to modify their vehicles for extra power will appreciate the ease of tuning the new turbo engines. So that few MPH you mention becomes a substantial difference with a set of hybrid turbos and light supporting mods boasting 550+ to the wheels and 997 Turbo performance figures. I'm an old school forced induction junky and love the Tq from the onset and tuning potential provided going forward. Performance like that outweighs the sound for me.
Gen 2 GTS
ОтветитьI've spent a fair bit of time driving the 991.1GTS and 991.2 C2S on windy roads. And have maybe 30 hours in the 992 C4. Sound: no question the 991.1. Here's the thing-- the 992 is an absolute beast. It's blazing fast, the steering GT3-like, and the power curve much more forgiving. The 991.2 feels in-between but smaller and more limber. You go to driving a 991.1 again and you're like "huh, that's kinda lame"... until you go to a windy road and really drive the 991.1 hard and can't help but laugh and smile. No, the 991.1 isn't the fastest. Of course not. The steering isn't quite as precise, the PDK feels a bit slower. Off the line the acceleration isn't as aggressive (it really starts to feel good around 5000) But very few cars I've driven have had me giggling like a child like that. It's *fun*. Truth is the 991.1 (even more so the GTS) is more car than you'll likely ever be able to safely drive on public roads.
ОтветитьI love the steering wheel in the 991.2. I wish they would of put the electronics in the 991.2 into the 991
ОтветитьDown the road of ownership, you will have a lot of fun with the tunability of turbo engine.
ОтветитьAfter watching this, I still don't quite know the differences between the .1 and .2!
ОтветитьI always found the latest and greatest is an improvement. I have had 13 Porsche's and they always seem to improve in driving and track experience. Sound is a part , but when your high in the mountains the twin turbos will kill a normally aspirated engine 911. Ask any Porsche factory driver, they love the old cars but love the new cars, same for Dr. Porsche.
ОтветитьThis was a bit boring these cars deserve better.
Ответить991.2, no contest.
ОтветитьGen 1 back end. Gen 2 front end.
ОтветитьAlways trust Porsche gen 2 they know what they doing
Ответить991.1
Ответить991.1 and I had a choice of either. I also chose the 7-speed manual.
Ответитьcompare it to 992.1
ОтветитьNo sound of the porsches 😔
ОтветитьYour standing in front of both cars blocked my view to compare how they look, remember this is a video and you can stand between the cars or off to the side and we can still hear you. Seeing the cars is very important.
ОтветитьPorsche is for hairdressers. Prefer to pay half of the price and get a Ferrari 360 manual then an automatic VW.
Ответитьlooks like neither one was Manual, so who cares ? We all know that the NA Carrera is underpowered - you should have tested it against the NA Carrera S but you're not Scientists now are you....?
ОтветитьThe snap crackle pop of the 991.2 is just awful, so pleased I managed to find a 991.1 with very low miles I will be hanging on to it for a very long time. The na sound is music to my ears and I never ever tire of hearing it.
Ответитьdual tail pipes are horrific though
Ответитьdont like the new Porsche sports exhaust, why did they think of even making it dual tail pipes? stupid
ОтветитьWhat is the name of wheels on the original 991? Tech something?
ОтветитьFinally we get 2 cars in the same spec. Both big standard carreras. Hopefully both with the same transmission. I hate it when other vids do a comparison and the cars r totally different. What's the point
ОтветитьIs it me or are these dudes voices boring??
ОтветитьCan't go wrong with both.
Ответитьwhat is the difference between porsche 911.1 carrera and a normal porsche 911 carrera??
ОтветитьLee - where are the roads here -Yorkshire?
