I don't think to me it matters. I normally buy games later since I play mmo's. So the fomo matters little to me. Outside of specific franchises or companies.

Nintendo isn't one of them mostly because the hardware of the switch is childish. It was novel when it came out but I'm more interested in what Steam will do in response.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is still going strong right now, so $80.00+ dollars for years and years of family fun with Mario Kart World on my 4k screen is 100% worth it.

Mario Kart World might be $80 to push sales of the Bundle over just the console by itself. If you were planning to get a Switch 2 by itself first and maybe pick up World later, or maybe wait to see if the prices drop, the FOMO on not getting the game at a "bargain price" with the bundle might push some people to shell out the $500 instead.

The cam, the game, the upgrade Switch 1 to Switch 2 for Zelda, the joycon 2, the pro contrôleur( the drift is not fix ) the console and etc. Are all juste to expensive I think Nintendo should do à /1,2 (x/1,2) and now i think it would be a good price

my thoughts the game itself is as expected. $450 is kinda high but the og switch cost $300. the ps5 and the x-box series are backwards compatible. and a lot of or all older games are free. the ps5 console cost $450 and the xbox s cost $300. the xbox x cost $500. so basically it is the same price as the other consoles? and the other thing is add ons and hidden fees. you will get money for a app that tells you the owners manual? and lastly... the price. xbox and ps usually cost 20-50 (depending on the hit or miss). mario kart is $80. my advice, do not waste your time. if you are a nintendo fan... you will buy it regardless but if you are like me (ps4, xbox x, and switch) i would wait tell the dust settles.

I think people don't understand that the Switch 2 is a complete overhaul from the Switch 1. Not just an upgrade, but a redesign. The aesthetics and the name stayed the same, but the hardware and software- all the internal bits- my understanding is that it was basically all torn out and redesigned from scratch. Which is part of the reason for the cost.

How I understand it is that running a Switch 1 game on the Switch 2 is kind of like running a game on the Steam Deck (or another Linux computer) when it doesn't have built-in Linux support. You have to run Proton and trick the game into thinking it's running on Windows. So here, it's like you have to trick the games into thinking they're running on a Switch 2 unless you give them an update to make them run natively.

Basically- it's a "Switch 2" in name and in appearance, but at the core, it's not just beefed up- it's redesigned.

The C button requiring payment to use- it just requires an online subscription, right? Charging for server hosting makes sense, since servers are expensive. And given that the chat feature does use those very servers, that one doesn't really feel that off to me. But charging for the welcome tour- that's a bit much, unless there's WAY more to the game than what they've shown us.

Do we know if the new Joycon for the Switch 2 can develop Joycon drift, or did they finally fix that issue?
