That zoom is insane!!!

On the Mavic 3, it would make sense for all of the digital zoom to come from the 4/3 sensor, rather than the half inch sensor.
Just have the 7x optical zoom from the half inch sensor only.

Are you using the Mavic 3 or Mavic 3 Cine? Can you zoom as smoothly also with the regular Mavic 3 as there’s no zoom wheel on the right side of the normal controller

To elaborate, when you are first zooming in during video it is using the main lens in digital zoom from 2x to 6x until you hit 7x zoom where it then SWITCHES over to the smaller lens on top...that is why the clarity returns...but then once you go even tighter then digital zoom is once again but to the smaller lens which is f4.4. In short there is no zoom lens and never was, its all marketing and twisting words. ANY lens can be digitally zoomed in but using post software. There is no hybrid zoom even on this camera it is all digital! It switch from main lens to smaller lens at 7X so that is not "zooming" at all its just switching lens.

Soon we'll be getting those zoom shots from nude beaches in the southern hemisphere (or ladies sun-bathing on their balconies)

There is only one optical zoom on M3P. 7X, that's it, 2X to 6X are digital zoom on the main camera. 8X to 28X are digital zoom on the secondary camera.

The switchinh betweem cameras is really jerky

Really brings out the chromatic aberration. It would take an amazing lens to stay clean with that much digital push and crop on the sensor. It looks good with the native focal lengths of the lenses. The digital push in isn't necessary and does the footage zero favors. Still, I can't wait to get mine!

Can you compare the maximum zoom with the 3 and 2zoom?

I could see the Wrangler patch on that amazing denim suit and read the logo on that Olympian's pink swim cap. Heck yeah DJI, I'd pay $4,000 or even more

Pretty blurry from far away. But I suppose it would still be useful for spying on people without them knowing about it.

If yes than it is very impressive as compared to my Mini 2's 4 times zoom!

That's unusable footage. The zooming of my Mavic 2 Zoom is smoother and lossless. What am I missing?

The optical zoom part of the videoclip looks just fine, however once it switches to digital zoom it looks awful as it has to interpolate missing data between each pixel.

I can do 48 zoom with my mavic Zoom
