Oh yes! Deep set eyes for sure what I suggest is on the ball of the eyelid putting a slightly lighter shade of grey or a fab of a shimmery lighter color, to enhance the ball of the eye and bring them out. Deep set eyes actually sport this look REALLY easily. I have the teeniest tiniest lips and it works. Just curve in so that the corners are the smallest and closest to your natural lip shape and then you round it a little outside of the line near the bow part. :)
ОтветитьHow I stumbled in here I don't know but I really enjoyed it was so well done, bravo.
ОтветитьThey are from "The Legend of 1900". One of them is called "1900s Madness # 2", "1900 Madness #1" and then from an entirely different album is just the Charleston :D
ОтветитьOMG!!!! let me tell you this: you are the most beautful woman I have ever seen!! that makeup is GORGOUS on you!!!!!!! I love it, good job!!! I hope you like mine as well, you inspired me so much!!!
Ответитьyeah great 6 stars if i could so only 5 sorry
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьOh my goodness :) Wow that's very high praise! Thank you!
Ответитьthank you!
ОтветитьI love how you keep going back to the eye shadow! That is exactly how I do it! ha ha Love the silent touch!
ОтветитьYou are adorable! Make a movie, please!
ОтветитьThank you! That mascara was Fibrelash by MAC Cosmetics, in black but my favorite mascara (for lengthening and thickening) is Jane Iredale, Longest Lash in Black Ice. It's to die for. :) Thanks for commenting! And the mascara wand comes with the mascara :)
ОтветитьYou have the perfect face for that look ...awesome!
ОтветитьThank you so much for watching! I really appreciate your feedback :) Although it wasn't very good in a 'literal tutorial' sense - I had a lot of fun making it! I suppose tutorials would need someone actually explaining how to do the makeup - not just doing it.
ОтветитьI am a makeup artist! Thanks! I might do another different era in color - I was thinking the 50s next possibly - or the underused glamorous 40s
ОтветитьBrilliant - just beautiful! well made and entertaining to watch, love the eyes!
Ответитьyou are gorgeous!!!!
ОтветитьAlright, so first of all, you've got an ADORABLE smile. Ass-kissery aside, this is a fantastic video. Really shows technique without being an outright "tutorial" per se. Love it!
ОтветитьWow thanks for the great compliment! Although I am a professional makeup artist, I am terrible at actually instructing people how to do it - so I just do it for myself, have a few giggles and hope some people out there enjoy it.
Ответитьwow u have that 20s look even without the makeup.
ОтветитьOh wow! Thank you!
ОтветитьAbsolutely! Although makeup was used in the early 1900s, it was very sparingly. Makeup has ebbed and flowed depending on what society has deemed acceptable. If someone were to wear 80s makeup right now, people would probably tear it apart (if it was serious), but if someone were to wear 50s makeup, society would call it glamorous.
Ответитьwhat was the color for the lip liner and lipstick?? i am DYING to know. plus, u are such a beautiful girl!
ОтветитьWow thank you! The lip liner is MAC "Vino" and the lip stick is "Film Noir" also by MAC
ОтветитьWhy thank you! *blush*
Ответить@kitnkabootle thank you so much!!!
ОтветитьI wish I lived in the 1920's damn those women were sexy
ОтветитьI think you should add some pics with colors - mono-movie is pretty difficult to understand for the newbie. BTW, yeap: that's 20s - I feel that jazz! ;)
Ответитьlol funny girl, you pulled off that old fashioned look very nice!! love it!
Ответитьvery very clever. THANKS
ОтветитьYou get lots of inexpensive wigs on ebay. And lots of them have lightning fast shipping. I get all of my wigs on ebay. Just search "flapper wig" or "bob wig"
ОтветитьYou are absolutely gorgeous and I loved this. Your eyebrows looked so effortless to do, can you tell me what you used on them please? Fabulous style for you. 5 stars.
ОтветитьThank you SO much! :) That's very kind of you. The eyebrows I do with an angled brush and a shadow to match my hair color at the time. Right now my hair is blond so it's a light taupe color. There it was dark red. :) Shadow is way easier to work with! Less error!
ОтветитьReally? Thank You, I'll give that a try.
Ответить*dies* I LOVE YOUR CLOCHE HAT!!! Mine is pretty cool too. I bought it at Target. Is that the Charleston song I hear at the end? GOOD CHOICE
Ответить@iiiiiccccc This is pretty much the nicest comment EVER. I look up to women like Louise Brooks and Marlene Dietrich.... :) THANK YOU
Ответить@iiiiiccccc I'd have to agree with you. She's gorgeous.
ОтветитьThat is a great video
Ответитьthis is a great makeup artist she would make a great actress she should try for it.
Ответить@The391956 Thank you very much! I am an actress actually though only in theatre :) i might of had my chance for film back in the 20s. It's a shame I missed that era of opportunity!
ОтветитьGosh, sometimes you made me remind Clara Bow. beautiful work.
ОтветитьAwesome look, and music.
Ответить@1Tinfoil - Thank you very much for taking the time to leave such an awesome comment on this! And yes, if in life I could sing in a tiny little cabaret with an old-style ragtime or vaudeville pianist, I'd be living my dream. Thank you again and it's nice to meet you Charlie!
Ответить@MDFKAAA Thank you so much! That's a huge compliment :)
ОтветитьToo, too utterly Darling ! Perfect shape and styling. Must have tea with a kick with you!
ОтветитьYou really capture the essence of the 1920s era. I absolutely love your video clip. It looks like a real clip from the 1920s. You did an amazing job. You actually look like a real person from that time period. I absolutely love it and also love the make up. Great Job. Fantastic.
ОтветитьGreat, authentic job. Most posting these tutorials are missing the mark completely by doing a modern take on the 1920's style rather than literally replicating it. Of course it helps greatly to have the right type of face for the period, which she has.
ОтветитьWow, you turned into Helen Kane in less than five minutes! Thar is a really authentic look, chapeau!
ОтветитьLove it! Very authentic :)
ОтветитьAfter all this time, this video gets better with every viewing!!! =)
