With the severe front and wanting to avoid it Portland which is well west of Melbourne may be a better option to aim for.
ОтветитьHi together
Only one question. Is it not possible, to have a kite for emegencysituations, to handle the boot in such situations?
Creativity seems the word. Lets hope for some good days (best as can be expected) in the right direction.
ОтветитьWhat a wonderful person you are! Merry Xmas and good luck: Rob from Lugano
ОтветитьGreat spirit from a strong women! Bravissimo! 👍👏✌️
ОтветитьWhat a brave, inspiring and resilient woman you are. Have been following your progress over the last vendee globe and this one and will continue to do so. You are amazing Pip. Stay safe🤗
ОтветитьThanks for sharing! You can now enjoy what is missed sailing the Imoca type of boats, nature and peace, also being more affected by nature, bigger risk to be hit by storms and lulls.
ОтветитьYou are an inspiration Pip, the way you are managing a hazardous situation and your clear thinking about trimming the boat and planning ahead regarding the weather forecasts. Hope they give you a hero’s welcome when you reach Melbourne. Stay safe and keep the videos coming. Way more important and interesting than those covering the race!❤
ОтветитьImages magiques... Belles histoires... La course est loin mais ce n'est pas grave ! C'est quasi beaucoup mieux... Vas-y Pip ! Tu est une héroïne aussi. Pour moi du moins.❤
ОтветитьYou are such an Angel ! I love listening and watching you....stay save!
ОтветитьPip, your resilience and sailing craft is enormously inspiring!
Ответитьincreadable.....
ОтветитьYou are an inspiration to us all so positive what ard you planning for Christmas lunch?
ОтветитьSpecial story... 💪💪💪
ОтветитьDear Pip, I'm just so impressed with your optimism in far less than ideal circumstances. I've stopped watching the Vendee Globe and just watch you every day. I've never had a rig failure but I've often looked around and wondered how I'd manage it. I featured Medallia in one of my videos, when I was in Poole Yacht Haven, and remember looking at the rig, with all its complicated stays and sheets wondering how you remembered what they all did. Thank you for all the work with the videos. I know how hard it is to do all the work you're doing, whilst setting up cameras and remembering to switch them on etc. Without doubt, "You are a STAR". Best Wishes ... Dave
ОтветитьObviously, completely sorry for your project, but on the other hand, what you do with these videos is of a "great wealth" as much by the technical side, as resilience in the face of adversity, your decision-making, etc. etc... and almost philosophical at times (the horizon, the seal, etc.).. despite everything these are also moments that will remain engraved in your memory and I would almost say "in ours"..
It is almost as exciting as following the race.. A hello from "FRANCE".
The Real Vendee Globe Race! Pips gonna "Batten Down The Hatches" I'll tell ya. She may just join the Sydney Hobart Race and end up in Hobart over there in Tasmania. Yea. That would be pretty epic. Start in the Vendee Globe Race and then end in the Sydney Hobart Race. Sure Pip. Head on down East. What the heck? Keep those sails tip top! 〰✨💪✨〰
ОтветитьLove the soundtrack, while you were making the clews!
ОтветитьA true inspiration. Well done Pip and thank you for sharing.
ОтветитьBrilliant work, stay safe admire you so much, God Bless, Australia awaits your expertise, RB
ОтветитьBe safe and wish you the best.
ОтветитьPip, you are a wonder. Thank you for your philosophical words. I’m so glad for you that that wee seal swam by for a visit, and that you were able to witness and enjoy that beautiful sunrise.
ОтветитьForget the sailing. You as an idividual are one hell of an inspiration. well done. Ian
ОтветитьThank you Pip, kepping sailing and sharing your workload with us while planning yuor preferred responses to wind and weather conditions - you've given yourself as much to do as you had managing your race. We really appreciate your shares and updates. And there is always something to do on a boat regardless of what the sea or the boat are doing. Thank you and don't overwork just because you can at he moment!
ОтветитьKeep only safe !
ОтветитьWhat a cheerful soul!! In spite of the disastrous mast loss, she is cheerfully commenting on seeing a seal, and a sunrise. Even though I am a landlubber, I know what a spinnaker is, etc.. I wonder if she gets oral help from her team members in Poole etc? Keep on plugging away to Melbourne (where a favorite uncle did a £10 passage from England to Australia in 1947; he was an excellent cricketer). I wonder if Pip will be able to relax by watching sports when she finaly reaches Aus? She will probably need loads of rest!!
ОтветитьAs they say, the weather is what the weather is. So, north sounds good to be behind the storm.
Keep going Pip, get to Melbourne safely!
How come most of the professional sailors don't have a safety line on at all times on deck like many amateur sailors do? Many says it's a must.
ОтветитьPip thanks for the upcoming video on how you set up your jury rig, my curiosity on that point will finally be satisfied. Loving the slow boat series ❤
ОтветитьSo nice to see, that you have had company 😊. Such a cute fellow - seems he was sent to cheer you up. We wish you all the best for big depression approaching! Stay safe!
ОтветитьDear Pip,
unbelievable pictures, when the seal "played" with your Medallia. I think, it would make you a little smile and wished you, to stay brave⁉️
You really are a great lady and I like it very much, to watch you and your Medallia‼️
Take care!
Greetings to the 4. Advent 🕯🕯🕯🕯🎄🤶 from
North-Germany
She is wonderful
ОтветитьGo Pip!
ОтветитьPip...you rock! Glued to every moment. Amazing Seamanship and fantastic attitude. Safe travels...we will see you back in UK home waters soon. x
ОтветитьQuelle femme extraordinaire, courageuse. cette série de vidéos est superbe. Merci, Madame. Bon vent.
ОтветитьHow many hats do you have on board?😊
ОтветитьMy daughter and I are watching your epic journey. Your resilience is extraordinary and we’ll be following your adventures. We are also curious about your initial rigging post-dismasting, looking forward to your episode tomorrow!
ОтветитьHey Pip, you go! I am not a sailor but watch the VG with my hubby. But your channel is my favorite. I can't believe your strength and positivity in this initial disaster. Glad that you are OK. I hold my breath when I see you crawling in these little crevasses in the boat. You will be remembered forever as this tough fun woman! Keep going. Thanks for the updates, looking forward to the next one already.
Ответитьmy highest respect like you make out of this disaster a wonderful mesage of optimism resilience and joy of pure living!
ОтветитьPip, thanks, just pure endurance, almost more interesting than the real race... keep smiling, you are such an amasing sunshine alover...
ОтветитьGreat job ! ⛵🏋♀💪
Ответитьyou gotta wear a hat and sunscreen when U get here luv
ОтветитьWow Pip, love the way you have adjusted your approach since demasting, really interesting, thank you for sharing your process.
ОтветитьPit i Like to let you n☀️o we Love you and the Natur schow you that you Are Not allone eaven the sun underline that for you, please Take Care in the storm ,🌊🌦️🌤️☀️🐟you even give us Hope 😊 Psalm 146:The Maker of heaven and earth, Of the sea, and of all that is in them, The One who always remains faithful,
ОтветитьPlease could you tell me something . If you see bad weather should you aim straight for it because more than likely it will move in another direction. I remember the big storm in the Sydney Hobart it initially should have touched the edge of the field and then moved right into their path Thankyou
ОтветитьPip-Pip-Hurray! Awesome information and insight into how to persevere through adversity with a positive tack. You should have 500K subs by now!
ОтветитьPipe you are the greatest sailer of this VG. Keep going. Take care ❤🤞🏾👏🏽💪🏽
ОтветитьEvery morning the first thing I do is check for your video. You are an exceptional person Pip.
Ответить❤❤❤
