I published 150 (low content) books on Amazon KDP and what have I got to show for it...?

Does Amazon own the copyrights to your book when you publish and sell through them or can you take that same material and get it published elsewhere and sell it somewhere else as well?

Question: on the screen where it says "check all territories where you own the rights," would you suggest I only check territories where I've actually paid to have my book copyrighted?

The only problem that i can foresee with this business model is that you dont have enough control. Great whilst it lasts but Amazon could change its algorithm at any moment or shut your account down without reason.

Getting a normal passive income stream, even if 100 pounds a month helps out over the year. I think many people don't realize how having a few passive income streams adds up. Congrats!

The way I look at it, if you were to invest in dividend bonds how much would you need to invest to get the same returns, I think it would be in the tens of thousands!

Hey! I would definitely look into Ads more, particularly for the books that are selling well. This was really interesting to hear thank you and I think it's pretty amazing actually to have achieved that with practically zero advertising. Also, it's important to recognise some of those other things you said - which are developing other skills which are ultimately going to benefit you in other ways. 😊x

I appreciate this so much. I started KDP and some of the groups I'm in, people make it seem like you have to outsource all kinds of work and buy ads and it all sounds overwhelming. Im not opposed to ads or getting help now and then but none of them seem to be doing what you did. I wish i would have had the class youre talking about. I think it would have been helpful.

I had just uploaded my first children's book, that was even published without any problems. the book that I created entirely by myself, including all the graphics, text, and even the font, which I designed myself was published and sold once. I'm shocked, and I've already written to Amazon without receiving any reply. What are your suggestions?

I loved your video! I was particularly intigued with your mention of publishing scrapbook page books because of the limitless possibilities. I watched some of your other videos on the topic and immediately saw the potential for taking one's designs to other platforms and putting them on all kinds of products, something you can't do with KDP books. I would be extremely interested in any course you would develop on the topic especially because of you ethic of creating quality products and not just trying to flood the market with so much junk. I believe that this pays off in the long run. Could you please tell me if you are going forward with this course and if so, when it would be available. Thank you.

I’m a author of six books. Not KDP. I pay for my work to be published by experts. I’ll tell you the reality of doing this. My children’s books with at least sixteen colour illustrations cost £2000. Each book. This covers absolutely everything. I cannot fault the quality of the books. I have a book at the publishers now that has 27 colour illustrations. The books have five stories of two thousand words cost £3000. Overall cost so far a staggering £15.000 Royalties received so far after three years £300. The problem is Marketing. If people don’t know your books are out there, you have no chance of making any money with your work. I hope this helps.

For more than a hundred low-content books, you have spent a lot of time making all of them. I only made two and I am tired already. It really doesn't matter how much time is spent on making one book. Still, the idea is as soon as it is published all you have to do is wait for the royalty to come, and that's a beautiful thing to do - waiting for money to come even without having to do anything about the books.

I love that you brought up the benefits beside just the money. Learning skills applicable for all online businesses for example. ❤

I have 6 books up on kdp, including sudoku and halloween puzzles. The last one has been up since last year and I redid the cover this year.
None of my books have sold at all.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
I believe the content is attractive, and I've redone keywords at times too.
Wish I could figure out where I'm going wrong, as my books seem to be comparable to others out there.

I won't use canva bc they have a disclaimer not for commercial use & heard a bunch of ppl had work pulled and notices. How can I avoid that?
