Just look at Covid-19 and how much it changed things. The world is not the same and will not be and the fall out of it will last. I beleive was brought on by global warming. And there is more to come. The human race has become the volcano. Effecting our world in what was once only seen as god like in ways only nature did before.

Not a good look for a white man to say an explosion is bigger than anything "witnessed by mankind" when one of the pieces of evidence that lead to the discovery was the written account of a man from the region...

After the people were done burning the city of Teotewacan, they decided to bury the entire region with 4 meters of dirt?
Now, tell me, what is wrong with this picture?

When you tell the Climate Kooks that volcanoes can cause abrupt climate shift they go completely off the deep end and start screeching.
It's not about Climate Change. It's about Control.

So in one unfortunate instant nature can undo all the efforts to minimize green-house gases and the burning of fossil fuels. Maybe we should have drilled more than we have.

Why does this documentary, detailing a massive shift in climate caused by natural phenomena require a pointless "information" from the UN that climate change is "largely man made" -are we not allowed to draw our own conclusions.?? S0d off with your brainwashing, Ill make up my own mind...

"Mother Nature's got gas/

Some sources are saying that this will happen again in the next few years.
In particular, it will not be caused by a single volcanic eruption, but several smaller, but many more, so the ashes will linger in the stratosphere for about four years, an this will bring three years of global failed harvests.
Sun will not be darkened, but dimmed.
The sources call this period as the Dim Period.

Wow. I was right! The very 1st thing I thought of when the show started was, "Krakatoa," in I think Borneo around 1900. The whole world went dark after it exploded, as the show later discusses.

This show looks like it was from the 1990s. Because the cathode-ray-tube computer monitors we used at work in the mid-90s looked exactly like those in the program. When was this show produced? The reason I say this is because I recall talking about this idea in the 1990s. How the event profoundly disrupted early Central American civilizations like the Zapotec or Mixtec and possibly caused the initiation of Islam because of consequential drought and famine in both regions at the same time. I remember it was quite the hypothesis. Such catastrophism was still pretty new in concept in the 1990s. It was barely ten years earlier that the idea of a catastrophic asteroid strike in the late Cretaceous brought about the end of the dinosaurs and a whole lot of sea creatures almost instantly. No more slow dying out of the dinosaurs we had been taught in school. So, we were very open to the idea of an asteroid/comet strike, but it turned out that it was probably volcanism instead. Still, it was all pretty novel and exciting in the 1990s. I was 35 in 1995.

According to this, if Yellowstone erupts it will not have a global impact since it isn’t equatorial?
I thought that was one of the biggest fears surrounding super volcanoes was global impact? They really mean half of a global impact?
