I have been an avid view to your channel, truthfully in grade school and just recently revived the interest.
I noticed you Mr. Green speak form a place of sincerity and respect when the subject at hand is history or literature;
And also from a place of humor most highschool history teachers find witty, who may or may not learn something they carry with them in mind. Something you don't already know.. I wanted to thank you for your reverence for the history of where we came from.. as an avid reader myself, I make reverence my ultimate attention and look past the ink, even when the author is very very dead, and attempt to equip myself with the lessons and quotations of those dead or alive. And I thank you again Mr. Green and the crash course team, for your continual release of an available port of history, literature, sciences, and all the more!
Best wishes
Any English literature students here? 🙋🏻

ОтветитьTremendous 🙌
ОтветитьYour logical fallacy is that there are writers who write for the benefit of themselves. They just exist, and we survive them with the helpful tips you've provided in this course.
ОтветитьBooks are my favourite thing in the whole world....
ОтветитьThank you for sharing, really helpful.

ОтветитьWhat’s the intro song???
Ответить"Reading is an act of empathy."
So that's why Lemony Snicket said not to trust people without books.
📖📖
Ответитьhe seems like on cocaine but after watching his videos for years, it's just his genuine passion for learning and literature. It's like watching Tarantino talking about cinema. LOVE IT
ОтветитьI started to study literature with this videos, it is my first time to study English literature. Thanks for making this videos.
ОтветитьOMG I wish I'd seen this two weeks ago. A group assignment I was doing was arguing this very topic. Namely the issue of editor vs author vs reader. If an editor goes insane with editing an author's work, to the point where the authorial voice is totally lost, then is that Ok? Who is a work for? Does the reader's requirements override the author's requirements or the editors requirements?
BTW I don't entirely agree with Green's letter. The author has a point to make if you miss it then you miss something from them, even if you then gain something else. Missing that point doesn't mean it wasn't there and that the author didn't intend it.
He sleeps for 23 hours a day.
ОтветитьI'm still not gonna read your stuff, John Green. I know you're trying to trick me into reading. -_-
