TLOU2 Light vs Survivor Difficulty Comparison (Rat King Battle) - The Last of Us 2

Despite killing this... Thing several times, it's still nerve wracking for me.

Fight could have been done faster if you collected the stuff to make a bomb or grabbed bullets when out but kept running past it

That was intence to watch. I loved it

You can enter this fight with nearly full ammo for every weapon if you don’t waste it in the previous level. All of the clickers can be killed with shivs, and you don’t have to fight the bloater in front of the elevator near the end of The Descent if you take the left path and kill the two clickers in your way. As long as you don’t get close to the infected on the wall, the bloater will not be aware of you as long as you walk slowly.

Also when you first drop down to the ground floor in the hospital there’s handgun, rifle, shotgun ammo in the room behind the officer on the ground and the one with the altar.

In the next area there’s a lot of flamethrower ammo, hunting pistol ammo and a ton of supplies for pipebombs. When you turn on the power and leave the room go prone and stealth kill the two clickers. Then go into the first room on the left, pop the infected on the wall in the head with the handgun, and use one shotgun round for the clicker that’ll burst into the room.

Talk about having a clenched butt lol my first play of this I was screaming like a bitch. Being chased is so exhilarating. Then you can't let this thing touch or it rips you apart. You did good.

After this boss fight the game literally became way less scarier to me atleast 😂

I was a normal person before I tried for 3 hours on the rat king and when I did it I ran around my house screaming then realised I had to fight the small part with only fists

My very first play was on very light, now I’m going in on grounded... wish me luck

This is where i dropped the game. Couldn't beat this boss no matter what, threw all the ammos I had and still it wouldn't die. Bleah.

I played on Survivor and die about 30+ times on ellies bloater fight and 3 times on the rat king. wtf

I loved this boss fight, especially the initial oh shit moment when you first see it in the ambulance. Then you’re being chased and it’s intense, but the actual fight. I found underwhelming, I played on hard first play through and I beat it comfortably. Just played it again on grounded and I was thinking this will be really challenging this time and it wasn’t. Did anyone else find this?

When I battled Rat King for the first time I got so scared I turned Light mode on and when I killed it I turned back on hard mode 💀

This bitch was giving me so much trouble on Normal, damn it's scary as hell as well. I was playing with my headphone on in the middle of the night and my heart was really jumping!

Wow, turns out the Survivor fight is much more difficult when you ignore all the ammo laying around the map

So the strenght of the monster is the same, but weapons are limited.

Was fighting the Rat King’s offspring on Grounded+, and my my god it was like fighting another boss that takes lots of hits.

When I saw the rat king I thought of a Hydra

Play even on normal difficulty but don't temper these auto aims and other setting guiding you for everything. Where's the fun in that.

Can you do a comparison of the new grounded difficulty on this game. I would like to see if it’s truly harder than survivor. Thanks

In my next playthrough definitely going to try the grounded difficulty and trying not to kill a single thing except for the parts where I’m forced to kill. Why? I like to torture myself with these challenges

Update the last text i worth the next day i did Thing differently ..when it came to the rat king i collected everything from ever room crafted fire shotgun shells and send him to Hell..i finished the game on Survivor..🐀

i knew this boss fight was coming cause i accidentally found the rat king while trying to remember another infected name and all i gotta say is ... FUCK. THAT. STALKER. bitch was harder to kill than the damn rat king!!!

Bruh i was collecting artefacts for the platinum so I chose very light cuz i couldn't be bothered to go through it again and my man died in under 10 seconds😂😂😂

I’ve completed this game on moderate, hard and survivor mode and I can honestly say survivor is the best mode to complete this game on.

On survivor you still have some kind of aimbot, it's even harder without it, you lose more shots and really affects your strategy

Whit assist shot is very easy

i’m currently playing on survivor + and i dread doing this fight. especially since ur so limited on ammo and supplies

I did it in normal and just threw all my bombs at him so he was basically dead after a few shotgun blasts. It was still a tense fight but I wish it had been harder since he's by far the most badass enemy in the game.

Y’all just hate fighting the rat king. That thing is like a bullish sponge like literally you just keep shooting it and keep shooting it and keep shooting it until finally after you use so many bullets it finally dies and then something else comes out of it and then you have to kill it to

45 hours on Survivor trying to take this thing down put everything into this thing and i still can't kill him but am not giving up .this Thing is hard on Survivor its when your fingers are shaking and your running and collecting ammo at the same time charging getting past the little one at the same time I swearif i kill this thing am never going to try to kill this this thing on Survivor again..i nearly had him yesterday and then the small one got me ..he was on his last leg..i even felt sorry for the Thing there come out of the goddamn down walls...😂👍
