3 minutes of subtitle fails

I remember watching mukbang- the subtitle said "job"
"Please"
"*laughing*"

The pub I attend had a TV whose subtitles sporadically inserted the word "Nebraska" in inappropriate places in the subtitles. I also recall a time (not set-related, obviously) when a caption referred to the Chicago White Sox as the "pale ho's."

Looking at the state of things here and overseas, I think the we'd have been much better off with Batman (or his jam making alter ego) as PM.

As an Italian, can confirm those were angry italian hand gestures. Also I think I'll go Eastwards and face the Nazi ghosts than... west...

I like that when you watch the justice league cartoons on max, the subtitles write out the soud effects as onomatopoeias.
Somebody gets punched? "Bam!"
Something explodes? "Boom!"
Lasers are fired? "Pew pew!"

Any K-pop fans here? The subtitles can be savage for international fans esp stray kids

there was one where the band animal collective was playing, and the subtitles were "[woman vocalizing]" and "[man speaking backwards]"
there are no women in the band btw

The most recent and one of the biggest subtitle failures I ran across was back in October 2023 as Episode 1 or a series called "The Yuzuki Family's Four Sons" had several issues (Brother Falcon, Unusual punctuation and spacing and more) the subtitles were fixed and episodes 2-7 ended up being fine (Can't say anything past Episode 8 because that is still TBD)
