Space Engineers: Getting Started in Survival (Tutorial Series #1)

Could you do one of these for the PS4 version of the game?
The controls are very different and there’s no star system custom game option

I keep going to new games and go to custom, and each time I go to earth planet it takes me back to the campaign

When im in custom game menu there is no star system the closest thing i could find was home system?

I have my assembler and basic refinery connected but if I have then so they are connected I can’t access both of them only the one I’m physical using

4 years later and he’s still replying to comments legend

I built the refinery and assembler like you did and I can’t take the steel plates out of the assembler. How do you take stuff out the assembler that you built?

One Video in and its already bugging out on me. I try to Take Steel plates from the inventory but it wont let me. It Just plays the Sound but doesnt transfer

I've been watching your videos for a few years now but I was always a little intimidated by how much there is to do in SE that I hardly touched it. I'm going for it now by building along with this series. I was surprised by how excited I was to find my first iron and then especially the first cobalt 10 deposits later. It's great how beginner-friendly you make everything seem.

I'm coming back to the game after years of not playing and forgot how anything works, are there outdated parts of this tutorial series that you're aware of?

Bro it took me forever to figure out how to build because I'm playing on the new playstation version haha

would really be nice if they would have a tutorial in game. having to split out with a video is annoying.

I just learned how to drop items out of my inventory

on first jump i could not finish level 4 i jumped out of exploding ship ran over to the drop ship fighter told me to get in cockpit but there was none there was a blue shape off cockpit but i couldnt get in built another cockpit but it not fly because i was not in the blue area

my turbine doesn't spin lol

One day for real, humanity will reach the stars again, till then we have to get back to the source of life and master it here on earth and with ourselves. In humanities current state it needs to be reborn with birthing pains before we will get to that point. Nature is good that way. When a plant is not ready to seed without failing to produce enough nutrients for successful seeds, it waits. Like biennials and fruit and nut trees take years to produce. It also makes sense that when a plant or tree is at its most fertile, things get overly complex and by the time the spread across the stars the society starts to implode upon itself much like Krypton in Man of Steel. I believe that story is actually based on folklore of the history of Solaris. Planet Vulcan represented wisdom, and was abused to the point of imploding/exploding decimating mars with parts striking other planets some completely destroyed becoming the asteroid belt and Jupiter Saturn and Neptune use to be activated stars now they are in a low mode still bright but mostly halogen gases not ignited like in our main star Solaris. Our solar system is rich with history of destruction of civilization much like the surface of earth, with half our ancient cities where ancient sea beds used to be and half our forests and cities on ancient sea beds. I think if life thrives on earth more the rest will follow. We will live better, the new "high rise" will be in tree houses and tree villages and tree cities. When we develop more technologies we will choose to live underwater, underground and high in mountains more often to avoid destroying the rest of life. Biosphere Two is a great example of what is possible to terraform mars. Its was only a test, the fist of its kind I hate how much people criticize it. Prefabricated parts won't need so much concrete to cure and oxidize their oxygen supply on site, as well they should have higher proportion of forest environments to farm area's structured area's and number of people and animals. And they could always just bring more oxygen next time in anticipation of the amount oxidized by the curing concrete. Just like you show us about adjusting oxygen and hydrogen containers thrusters ect for weight and ability to travel without getting stuck. Its all about the pioneering spirit. I can't garden much this year from smog because of health problems, this game is a life saver. I have house plants to terraform my environment I don't want to use a breathing machine that has to be cleaned all the time. Watering and pruning is less work :) I save up old juice bottles to have water near by for watering plants in rooms so I don't have to run back and forth from kitchen all the time. Same principles are used in this game. Its exciting :)

curious. IF you start out on top of the mountain instead of down in the valleys, is your wind turbines even more effective? I can imagine one would go through slightly more hydrogen from having to travel up and down to get to surrounding areas more. Can't wait to play this game I'm trying to learn as much as I can so I don't get burned out.

How do I know which mineral I've found? Do I have to drill in the area and look in my inventory?

how do i connect my wind turbine, assembler, and refinery to a terminal? every time i try to use them it says “terminal not connected to any ship”

how do you make that free climbing?

For some reason my assembler isn't working and my wind turbine is producing and more power?

Got the game finally but every mode I go into I can’t build anything says I have to many iteams in the world on a blank world ?? Update I can build in only creative and I loose all my progress unless I’m in experimental but then I can’t build in experimental🤣🤣🤣?

Amazing tutorial but for some reason whenever I am trying to use the basic refinery or assembler it says “Terminal is not connected to any ship” and I have 3 wind turbines and it still won’t go away and I don’t know how to fix it

Please tell me how to fix it

It is a shame that some of these methods do not work on the console editions

I recently discovered that space engineers has been ported to playstation in Beta! I am incredibly excited to play this game.

I've had it in my steam wishlist for quite some time now. However, The lack of access to a PC to play the game has been What's keeping me from the game, until now that is.

I greatly appreciate that you have created this beginner's guide series for new players!

hello i got a huge problem i start on multiplayer but keep losing base because i got offline i have to spend almost 4 days but i realt strugle how do u make a spawn at base because i go offline i spawn everthing gone i spawn in space or earth agian random lost 5 times my base official

Just finished my first 8 hour session, as it it finally came to PS5. Did the 'First Jump', and a fair bit of the 'Survival' tutorial before deciding to just dive into a proper survival game. Landed on Mars with a nearly empty pod, and I had no bloody clue what to do, lol. This is EXACTLY what I need. Thanks in advance for what I am sure will be invaluable guidance. 👊✌
