Thank you for watching, I've heard the background audio may be too loud for some. Sorry I don't know how to fix it. Thank you for telling me, I can lower it more next time.

Another country where democracy means government doing whatever it wants and can freely abuse people as they see fit. Also we're talking the country where artists still need to put black bars on drawings in the name of morality: Much as I like a few things Japan is ahead on, the things they're stuck in the past with makes it just another terrifying place.

People don't seem to understand that a tax is never a gain, it is always a loss. Taxes never repay what they are being used for and have always decreased economic conditions since the beginning of time. Pretty much the only successful tax (taken with a grain of salt) was used for social security so that people past the age of retirement can have a form of income to equalize or exceed their losses. What happened then? governments noticed that this was a large amount of revenue and began borrowing for it with funds that don't exist to use in other programs, such as insurance, education, etc and with each borrowing, economic conditions deteriorate.

It is sad to see this wonderful nation making all the same stupid mistakes that have ruined the West. Mass immigration and high taxes have not been kind to us over here.

I think its a good thing they need to rework how anime is produced such that those making anime are committed to the art and not making anime that will barely sell any bluerays
post 2013 anime = no budgets
pre 2013 anime = budgets
How about if the anime is not that great just dont fund it

Man if most shows are half assed these days before the tax increase I dont wanna see how awful it gets, and lets not even talk about all the poor bastards that will lose their jobs. I guess outsorcing will become even more prominent and if china or korea make a push in the industry japan could easily be left in the dust with a second place lol, sad times approach. At least we will always have older anime

Does this apply to all gyomu-itaku? So in effect eikaiwa teachers would also have to take part in this system? Many moons ago I remember having to do my own taxes in Japan - it was hell.

However, a possible upside of this is to just - charge more? Although that would likely cause another spike in inflation like the one that spooked Japan earlier this year...

I mean, i remember seeing a video on how the anime industry is at the same time a 28,000,000,000$ slave industry where most workers make 0.47$ per hour or like 450$ per month, so this isn't that surprising, also the wages isn't just mappa, it's like the whole industry, the video was by hitreg, it's really good

Japanese VAs are better for Japanese mediums..... No way in hell are you telling me Jap VA's are better than Enlgish ones for Western animation like in Avatar, (insert any animated movie here) or Western Video games. Even if you can speak English you should be watching Toy story and Lion King in English as a matter of principle.

So these freelancers have never been registered as businesses??? jeesus h christ, Here in Finland you cannot do any work unless you are a hired employee or a registered business.
How hard is this to comprehend, if you are freelancer you should be doing that under a business, you are the business, fk. An entrepeneur, period. Stop whining.
Even musicians have to register themselves as a business, if they receive money for it, fuuuuuuuk. Why would some freelancers be any different??????
Seems people dont understand anything about how business and work relations actually work in economics, jeesus.

Evolution can be simplified as effort value, same thing as Pokemon on a spreadsheet but one technical > species are two animals that cannot sex and make children (babies) anymore over 1000s of years not immediate.

Right so a speciation is when that happened on a timeline. Yes, predictive of people habits, "What do we do about anime?" Wait; < That's it. There are so many things like maternity leave or debt the management have (but own X% because the yakuza has their teeth hostage and is still paying them) < Jokes like that. < So if you don't have your firstborne child being held hostage by the government > few things get me out of bed in the morning. We as fans can pick, so can the skilled workforce that doesn't have to care about taxes (outside of road mending and school upkeep and stuff). I don't mean this personally to the author on this channel at all, but we can enjoy the shit show together and I loved the tone of the video but it really isn't a problem for people who don't have a "Unspent Criminal Convictions" < which I always say yes to when I didn't want the job and eitherways; and seemed dodgey AF.

Reminds me of what California did to 'protect' gig-workers from 'exploitation'. It basically made it impossible to be a freelancer in the state of California - but Californian companies got around the law by hiring freelancers from other states.

It goes to show, the 9 scariest words are still, "I'm from the government, and I here to help."
