sorry i disagree with the genshin story being good. It did START off with a bang but it seems very all over the place .Great gameplay tho and art visual style

What is gacha mean?

As someone who has played HSR, Genshin, AND Hi3, I literally dropped Genshin due to how punishing it felt to play the game. I'd reached AR 54 and played for two and a half years, and I'd only amounted to four five-star characters and a single five-star weapon (f2p). I saved and saved and saved for a character only to get them guaranteed at 90 pulls (that is, if I didn't lose the 50/50 in the process). Not once did I get a five-star character with a pity lower than 75. From what I remember, events were boring 80% of the time (and unrewarding), quests were repetitive, and the story got simultaneously overcomplicated and oversimplified (I didn't finish the Inazuma story quest). Of course, these are only my opinions, but helping every MF in genshin while looking for our sibling got old REAL quick. The reason I liked helping people in HSR is that it was literally our job rather than us being forced to fix someone's country issues on the small chance they knew ANYTHING about our sibling. In the year of playing HSR, I've gotten every 5* character I wanted, and half the time I got their lightcone too. In Hi3, you were given (old) 5* equivalent characters almost every year (if not multiple times a year), and it had so many events.

For your sanity's sake, avoid the Grnsjin subreddit at all costs. Lmao. So many HoYo bootlickers over there. And the mods are absolute fogshit tier. They take down any and every critique thay exists of Genshin and their development team. It's quite embarrassing, and shows how far genshin has to actually getting better and improving even slightly.

As a genshin player from day 1, I can say, genshin in current stat is not that great, starrail fan has it better thn us. it is just fact, no need for pointless yapping to show which side is more superior.

I was wondering how it wasn't getting better rewards after some time... until I learned that the guy in charge of Genshin Impact was the same person that was in charge of Honkai Impact during the time it's rewards weren't so good. Then he jumped over to Genshin and a new guy took over Honkai and it was getting better rewards... and that same guy is also in charge of Star Rail.

I don't think this is a Dev. Problem, I think this is a problem of whoever is in charge.

Something that frustrates me a lot more than the Starrail and Genshin comparisons do is in a case of genshins, the game has been around for an estimated 3 years? If a community of a game has shown that much support and has made their game so successful, you would think that they would express gratitude and generosity, 3 years is an insane dedication for a player to any game in general. The payment of 3 intertwined fates is just so unreasonable on their part, the player base of genshin generally does deserve much better. But god, the drama between Genshin and Honkai Starrail is really mind crumbling, this is coming from someone who has played both games fairly throughly, pretty rough that all this is happening because of most of the inadequate rewards and treatment from genshin.

Played both games GI and HSR and both has their own ups and downs but not a big deal as long as you are having fun out of the game than duking each other out just because who is a better game like seriously.

As they say you cannot always please people regardless if the changes is for a good cause or to balance it out and such. And I agree is most will just do sugar coating and saying positive things when the negative things are more of a concern developers won't be bothered at all.

Also if you compare other games like Punishing Gray Raven, rewards in genshin are underwhelming and are straight up garbage. anniversary reward is utter joke. Fate fucken grand order gives like 30 pulls. Arknights give better rewards, even fucken tower of fantasy does that. Genshin rewards are straight up garbage and you can only be positive about them as content creator only in case you got NDA and you have to do it xd QoL changes in Rail take like 1-2 patches to implement, while in genshin you got autocollect button after 3 fucken years. There are tons of things they can change. Like remove totaly farming materials on certain days. Just let me farm them when I want. Let me kill 3 times same boss because I dont care for other bosses since my new characters require materials from new world boss. I dont need to do old ones. THere are a lot of things that could be changed with 1 patch and without any effort.

Also mihoyo gives 0 fucks about west since china outvalues entire west. Also genshin weapon banners are fucken scam. Because this "pity" resets every banner and you need 3 5* pulls to have desired weapon. Its bullshi.

If you know anything about gacha games, gacha games reward the players because the only reason ANY gacha game is alive is due to its playerbase. Genshin impact gets billions upon billions of dollars every year. BILLIONS. You know how much Gacha games usually make? Usually not even a million. Gacha games die if their players do not give money. And all they can offer is extra 3 wishes, a free 4star skin of your choice at the cost of a PS5 in china, so on. Trust me, Genshin is not losing any money by giving better rewards. In fact, giving rewards in gacha is actually a tactic to keep players playing and spending BECAUSE THEY FEEL APPRECIATED and they feel that their money is WORTH IT. ITS A SIGN OF RESPECT. 3 wishes is straight up disrespectful. Theyre giving away a bonus 3 wishes ( about $5). Thats not even going to get you a 4star.
Asking for a standard 5 star of your choice is completely reasonable FOR ANY GACHA GAME, asking for Qol improvements is completely reasonable PERIOD, asking for endgame content is completely reasonable, asking for fairer rewards is reasonable. Yet genshin cant do the BASICS. Thats why people are mad. Many people LOVE this game, LOVE the world-the story the designs the characters.. but at the end of the day... its just the same old content and they could easily implement those features everyones been asking for yet actively choose not to. They will do ANYTHING to not give players what they want.
At this point the rewards arent even the problem. Give us Endgame. Give us players the respect and love we deserve for giving genshin billions of dollars. I sound very angry, I know, and thats because I am. IN ALL 3 YEARS, the gameplay has remained the same. The game I once loved remains the same. The game BILLIONS of people spent on has stayed the same and abuses its players for ASKING NORMAL THINGS EVERY OTHER GACHA GAME HAS!!! All critisms people have made, IGNORED AND SILENCED and we all know itd be a piece of cake for them to implement said improvements yet would rather spend money on doing everything against the playerbase.
