The only way to be "superior" would be to use gentoo building a custom kernel and USE flags or Linux from scratch.

You are not in any way superior because you use a simplified version of Arch.

Also arch does not have a monopoly on learning Linux you can learn Linux on any distro.

i tried artix one time and it was ok but when i installed nvidia drivers and restarted my de was completely nuked the only thing that worked was startxfce4 command but the sound didn't work and quality was set to 1024x786 and i couldn't change that i tried to fix but then i gave up and installed opensuse tumbleweed because i heard a lot of good things about this distribution so yeah that was quite a journey

You are superior to Arch users if you get that running, the amount of bullshit I had to go through just in a vm to get it working makes arch look like installing ubuntu. I can't imagine installing it on bare-metal hardware especially since I'm currently running a Nvidia GPU.

I daily drove artix for about a month. I’ll agree that it’s similar to arch, but what drove me back to arch was that everything required more work if it was dependent on systemd. I’ll probably use artix again at some point.

Artix is not strictly systemd free I believe as I think they use elogind and it's components....

I had it installed for a while and it was very nicely done (Cinnamon version) and very fast in general.

Like Arch you need to follow the Arch wiki to install stuff. I didn't find much specific documentation from Artix specifically.

In the end I just installed Linux Mint because I decided I don't have time (or willpower) to manually install and manage everything. I just want a system that is ready out of the box and let's me get on and do what I need.

If however you DO want the Arch experience I can highly recommend Artix.

If you have a Distro that has everything you need and nothing you don't, then a huge package manager and the AUR are not needed. In my case, the only thing I install if not on the Distro out of the box, is Firefox, and I change the wallpaper to something I like, and that's it. Keep it simple.

I would say run systemd free Linux distros, BSD/illumos, Plan 9 (not 9front... never 9front), or for memes and giggles Gentoo with the Linux kernel rewritten in HolyC with all the GNU libs replaced with Plan 9 libs.
