In Canada, The Roku Channel is solely available on Roku streaming devices and Roku Smart TVs.

How do I get the Roku channel app?

I found something interesting today. I love watching the antique road show. (yes I'm old) I found it on Plex and on the Roku channel. On plex it was unwatchable. There was a commercial after every item. On roku there were 6- 1 min. 30 sec. commercials for the entire hour. Much better experience.

I gave up on Xfinity because I'm very poor on Disability benefits, & EVERY MONTH my bill was more & more, until, finally my bill for what Xfinity/Comcast, says is their cheapest package, which consists of more than 50% INFOMERCIALS, & the cost of their cheapest package as of October of 2022, was $215. Now, this year, the cheapest package is just under $250. NO THANKS. I bought a Roku box for $24.99, pay Roku $4.99 for their service, ordered Hulu as my TV provider $5.99/month, & I pay for Discovery+ $7.99 a month. For under $20 a month, I get ALL the channels I had with Xfinity & a whole lot more of TV programming + great movies, new & old ones for a fraction of what Xfinity was charging me. And the ads on Roku, Discovery+ & all the regular local TV stations I get & a lot more than that, have ads that last from 15 seconds to 1 min & 30 seconds, & are not dispersed throughout your entire program or movie. The ads appear at the beginning of any program or movie, 1 or 2 in the middle of your shows, & toward the end of your show(s), and some ads I can just skip with my Roku remote control! Yahoo!!

So, consider me a "cable cord cutter" for life. I predict that Xfinity will bankrupt their own company in less than 2 years from now. Too bad, so sad. 😂♥️❤️👍 They are losing 10,000 customers PER DAY!

I was now able to download Roku tv from the playStore on my Android tv only issue is it keeps says Roku tv is unavailable try again in few minutes. I am currently in the Philippines is it available outside the US?

I have just bought a ONN Television which is actually a Walmart Brand. It is a Roku Channel Television. I am trying to learn more to see if I can cut cord with Comcast since their prices are ridiculous. I pay close $250 a month for tv, internet and home phone and even when you agree to a new lower priced contract its back up to the same amount due to other fees. I hate watching Sports but I pay a fee each month for that. Fees, fees and more fees. Comcast is like a vampire but instead sucking out all our blood their sucking out all our money.

The Roku Channel is not available on google tv or android thru the playstore at this time. It does work on Fire devices but, as far as I know, not yet on official android based devices except maybe mobile.

For all of you complainer, this life doesn't consist of all of your wants. Be thankful for accommodating some of our needs.I am thankful for not having to pay exorbitant fees and getting nothing. Be Thankful!!!

I have had Roku for years, but I didn't know all that it had to offer. For 3 months now, I am really enjoying and appreciate all that Roku has to offer.Thanks to my granddaughter.I wish I had cut Direct TV sooner.I do not miss paying $120 a month for NOTHING!!

There are a few movies and old TV series I have watched on the Roku Channel. Probably 5th on my most watched apps. Definitely comes up better on my Roku than on my PC.

We've gotten used to AD supported FREE apps on Roku and the other apps that it's just normal now. Regular TV programming commercials are just so much longer and annoying!

Love the Roku channel as it has a lot of content that others do not. I've got a roku express 4k+, chromecast with google tv, firestick 4k max and a directv stream Osprey box. I prefer roku to all of them.

Some of the FAST channels need to insert the ads into the natural breaks of the older shows where you'd expect them to be and not just cut them in willie nilly.

No, not even close. I won't take the Roku Channel seriously until they have an App for Android TV/Google TV like all their competitors do. I don't believe they have an App for Apple TV either. Their Android mobile App doesn't even support casting.

If you don't support all platforms then sorry you can't be considered the best. Right now, Tubi and Pluto TV are the best FAST services available.

The only sport I watch is NASCAR racing. They tend to jump around thru the season; FS1, NBC, USA. I wish there was an app for just the NASCAR races.

I think Pluto, Tubi, and the Roku Channel are the best 3. There are others out there that offer less watched content in sports and other subjects, but these 3 are excellent.

I just turned in my Fios set top boxes! I had every component feeding from the main STB and sound coming through the receiver and speakers. What’s the best way to hook everything together now that the coaxial cable goes directly into the TV?

My biggest issue with any streaming service is ad load per hour. I would like to see some real analysis done to show which channels have the least ads. Just my opinion, but I see the Roku Channel and Tubi are neck and neck. I find paid for ad-supported Hulu and Peacock have notably more ads as compared to Roku and Tubi. My annual subscription ends soon and will not be renewed.

I like the Roku app/channel as I do have a roku streaming device and a recently bought ONN Roku TV set as well. The only problem and caveat is that they haven't made it available outside their devices to my knowledge anyhow.

My wife loves the Roku channel! Lots of interesting series and a good program guide. Plus it integrates well with our Roku - natch!

Personally, I do prefer Plex Live Tv with antenna Integration through with HD Homerun Tuner. None of the other FAST services have this feature. Tubi, Xumo and Pluto are also at the top of my list. I do like the Roku Channel. It has a nice IPG and channel changing is very smooth and fast.

The Roku channel is my favorite hands down.

49 years old and growing up we had free ad supported TV via Antenna. Now after cable and streaming services we are headed back to free ad supported TV but via the internet. Circle of Life!
