I had a problem, my timeline was imported with all the clips I used, but not my cuts. So my timeline is there with the full length of each clip. What can I do? :(
Ответитьperfect 🔥
Ответить🙇🙇
Ответитьwhen i transfer back the import always stops at 97% with 9 or 12 seconds left, is there anyway to fix this ?
ОтветитьNow this is a tutorial. Straight to the point! appreciate you bro!
ОтветитьI just downloaded davinci so i don't really know much about it, but does this also work with the free version?
ОтветитьGreat Vid! Simple and to the point! Thanks!
ОтветитьDuuude, this was exactly what I needed! Short, concise and everything I needed! Cheers!
ОтветитьWhen i do the same steps in pc davinci doesn’t have prores do u know the equivalent of that? Thank u
ОтветитьPretty straightforward, excellent video!
ОтветитьWhen I import the Adobe XML into DaVinci the audio desyncs. Any ideas? Thanks
ОтветитьIs this lossless?
ОтветитьBro I have a question. Since it's not possible to export transitions back and forth, so I have cuts like in your example, but AFTER i Colorgrade and export graded clips from DaVinci back to premiere i will lose extra keyframes in this clips before and after cuts. And if i want to make a cross dissolve transition PR will say that repeated keyframes will be used... how to solve this?
ОтветитьHey I'm facing a problem after importing XML from davinci resolve back to premiere, could you please help me?🙏 some clips are either frozen in 1 frame or completely missing at the time-line, those clips are shown in a shadow like clip with slashes as seen in the Screenshot...
Ответитьur a god dude
ОтветитьThankyou so much, the best thing in this video is "it's short and precise" no long intro, blah blah stuff, keep up the good work brother.
Ответитьnice.
ОтветитьAre you able to edit the time line outside of color grading example scenerio would be making short from a podcast time line from premiere import into davinci
ОтветитьWhy does it say media offline!?!?
ОтветитьAm I missing a step? All of my media is offline. I am following your steps, creating a new project, importing an XML file but everything is offline. I don't understand!
ОтветитьDude! Thank you so much for the simple no BS videos.. 5 stars all day, I liked and subscribed.
Ответитьresolve eating too much storage when i'm transferring back to premiere even my timeline is 1080p how to fix that?
Ответитьhey i did it same as u. but when im exporting the graded footage as an premiere file i have the xml plus all the singel files rendert with tones of gb. is this normal? is it possible to do this just with an graded davinci xml for premiere?
ОтветитьI understand... but everytime my tem and I tried this the timeline messed up badly... same steps... we just resorted to do the entire thing in resolve
ОтветитьWhy does resolve not respect my cuts from PRemiere pro. I import it , and the clips ( have no transitions) start from where i don''t want them to start, either the ends middle, but not where i cut them in premiere. its so annoying. I tried 2018 version, 2022 version ..its the same problem. Is there a fix? THe point is , want to edit in premiere and grade in Resolve, but resolve doesn''t respect my cuts and its uselesssss.
ОтветитьWhile importing .XML into Davinci I have both boxes checked 1. Automatically Set project settings 2. Use sizing information but half of my clips are either zoomed out or zoomed in. They're not fitting into the Davnici timeline properly. What could be causing this or what would be a good work around? I used 4k & 6k clips in my premiere pro project and fit them to the project timeline but seems as if they aren't automatically fitting the timeline in Davinci.
Ответитьso this almost worked for me!!! btw thank you!!
Issue: the clips that I have slowed down (60fps) are not slowed down in DaVinci resolve - what should I do?
not working anymore :(( I am doing the same thing just like a month ago but now once I open the timeline on davinci. davinci crashes..... is it my fault or is it that Adobe is not liking their xml to work on davinci anymore ?
anybody else is having issues now ? thanks a lot
I’m curious, can I just export my final copy from Resolve? I used premier to edit a film but it’s a really old computer and slowwww. Was hoping to just export a Final Cut from Resolve
ОтветитьThe editing in Davinci is so bad, this is worth giving a try! The only good thing about Davinci is the color section haha
ОтветитьPerfect breakdown, thanks man!
ОтветитьIf I have done speed ramping and warp stabilisation effects in Premier already, will the effects remain when exporting to resolve to Color grade and then importing back ?
Ответитьgrazie amigo
ОтветитьI dit that we with braw footage. But it doesn't play in premiere pro
ОтветитьI always wondered how this works. thanks a lot !!
ОтветитьThis helped me out so much! I was really struggling to get the graded files back to Premiere, even though its so simple! Thanks!
I have a question though: If I start the project in Premiere, apply effects there and then move it to Resolve, is there a way to preserve the applied effects throughtout the whole process? For example, I applied warp stabilizer in premiere, then brought it to Davinci where it was no longer applied (I assume since its not the same effect there) and when bringing it back to Premiere the effect is still no longer applied.
While this makes sense, is there maybe a way to preserve these effects? A workaround I have would be to replace all the footage of the project with the exported graded footage, but I'm not sure if this might cause some other issues. Or I guess I would just need to organize my workflow around color grading first.
Thanks anyways! :)
Still works in 2023. Much props brother.
ОтветитьGreat video. Quick one, does this workflow suit proxies made in Prem? So when it's time to export in Prem (or Resolve) will proxies be converted back to original specs / data?
ОтветитьThis video is super well done. I felt like some dude from a hockey team got really good at video editing and was explaining something to me. Excellent info. Quality is ridiculous. What are you shooting these with?
Ответитьi hv a problem after grading ,export to premier xml and done . no file xml. just clip video ?
ОтветитьI tried this, but it says that it can't find the video files. "7 out of 7 clips was not yet found" :(
Ответитьthanks for the tips, can u give some tips of color grading on davinci... thanks again sir
ОтветитьI’m having much problem with gpu in resolve and now I want to move all my project in premiere but there are many rendering in xml only . I’m confused what should I do?
ОтветитьThere is no need to export back to Premiere, is there? Resolve can do everything and anything Premiere can do, only better.
ОтветитьHi, i seem to have a problem here. When I'm exporting back to .XML file from davinci resolve, it exports the entire clip individually together with the .XML file and the file size of the clips are abnormally HUGE, is this normal? For example, my original clip is only 320MB, it became 5GB after exporting from davinci resolve. It would be great if you could help me out with this, thanks!
ОтветитьCan you tell if this still works with effects applied in premiere like warp stabilizer or transitions?
ОтветитьAt 41 seconds you say you don't know why they (Adobe) named it Final Cut Pro XML. There's a reason it's called Final Cut Pro XML... Apple designed the XML process for Final Cut Pro. It was used mostly when going from Apple's Final Cut Pro to Apple Color back in the day, but people quickly started using it for going to DaVinci Resolve since it was a better color grading program back then. Adobe simply adopted it to Premiere because they couldn't come up with a better protocol. They also did it so that people leaving Final Cut Pro 7 after the Final Cut Pro X debacle of 2011 could bring their FCP projects into Adobe Premiere Pro.
And, at this point Adobe is using an XML Process that is over a decade old. It's very outdated, but Adobe doesn't have interest in making something better because they'd rather you stay in Premiere and use the inferior Lumetri. They used to have Speedgrade, but that program was awful and there were also issues sending Premiere Pro timelines to Speedgrade. Throughout the 2012-2017 period I edited in Premiere I used DaVinci Resolve instead for my color grading work. This is in large part why I stopped editing in Premiere back in 2017 and fully embraced editing in DaVinci Resolve. I didn't have to waste time with round-tripping with XML in order to color grade my projects. I've been color grading in Resolve since 2010, when I was still using Final Cut Pro 7.
Now since DaVinci Resolve has become a far better editing platform. So I usually advise a lot of people to leave Adobe Premiere Pro and switch to Resolve. So many who make the switch are very happy. I cut out so many unnecessary steps by dropping PPro. I can edit and grade at the same time in Resolve. It's wonderful. So put Premiere where it belongs: the trash.
Glad you're uploading again. Good video as always, you really do it well in explaining the content in a way that is easy to understand.
Keep it up, good work.
