Man I wish I never ditched my vinyl. Those turntables were sooo cool! Those and the flywheel tuners in the better receivers, the ones with the lighted frequency meters. There was real magic to all that back then. And that it coincided with prog rock and jazz, just awesome

when I was a teen, the older kids called Pink Floyd "Sclene Music". They'd take a hit of Purple Microdot and just become the music. I didn't understand it. Days long gone my friends 😔
