I got to playtest inZOI, a new ultra realistic life sim game

It would be cool if they intergrated a sort of AI like ChatGPT and allow you to text chat with in game NPC's and nearly all NPC's had their own AI

The AI images is very concerning to me, ethically. If it's connecting to the internet then it's essentially using AI to alter and steal other people's designs without credit or compensation.

The criticisms you made felt very unnecessary with how advance this is compared to its competitors.

I don’t know if my brain likes or hates this? The graphics are incredible, and honestly too incredible. I’m not a realism person solely cuz of uncanny valley, but I can respect the amount of work that went into these models

I'm genuinely disappointed that the fat slider seems to be so... not fat at all. It's not even a gameplay thing, because many many other games are like this and still manage to have bigger characters. Everyone is stereotypically beautiful in this game and that's really kind of sad.

Looks...boring. All the characters are perfect and beautiful looking. What if I want to create average or unattractive looking characters? I care about creating interesting stories, not playing a "perfect life" simulator.

very nice to see BASIC features in the BASE game ie. weather and cats. Really tells me that they're not EAing this. I'm nervous about the devs behind City Skylines' life sim because of the MILLION expansions they have for the games they already released. Less expansions!! Just make a solid base game! I'd even pay $80 for the base game if it had multiple features like pets, weather, renting, city life, career paths, university life, parenting, and an array of skills already baked in

I am definitely big on realism in these life simulators so I agree with a lot of your concerns. I do think that since this is still the development stage that it will have way more options to have and use in the future. I do hope that a lot of every day items like bikes and cars will be added in base game. On the other hand, we have to gove them props on how beautiful this game is being executed. I do hope that weather will have an actual effect on daily life and they have the option to extend or shorten seasons and they act on auto play. I also hope that apartments become a larger feature in game and being able to have neighbors and apartments on multiple floors. Even having jobs for property managers and owners.

Call me conservative, but I really like the Sims cartoony character designs. I am more of a stylisation fan in game, rather than realism (yep, Ratchet and Clank, Kena are the types of games that I play.) This realism in simulator games look very uncanny to me. I don't understand why many players use realism mods and complain about cartoony style in Sims. lol. (This game will fry my laptop, that I am sure about.)

Don't think they should have showcased the game in this state... Far too much needed to do yet. (Ideally remove all cats from the game too, bloody hissy things)

im trying not to get too excited about this game because i think we're all too familiar with that disappointment... but for only being a year in development, it is very promising. The customization is flawless, the graphics and animation are so detailed, and the gameplay overall has a lot of potential. However, the relationships/interactions definitely look like they still need a lot of work, so I hope they will really hone in on that during year 2 of dev.
One thing that I haven't seen anyone talk about that I think is important is more racial diversity. Obviously having a Korean-heavy game is not a huge problem because it's a nice change of pace from all the white saturation, but I can't help but notice that no matter the skin-tone, the facial features still look Asian, or at least like the zoi is mixed race. Maybe it's just because I can't delve into character creation myself, but idk. I think diversity is really important in life-sims, so seeing more latinx, african, middle eastern, etc. features for the zoi would be important to implement. As well as adding plenty more swatches for skin tones, if they decide not to go with a color wheel/slider for that. I think as long as they have a very wide range of skin tones, including undertones, they could get away without having a slider.

God I can't wait for EA to eat shit thanks to this game and Paralives. They've had a monopoly for far too long, and it's so refreshing to see devs taking on this genre of gaming! The Sims 4 is an absolute disgrace.

This is a bit too realistic for me BUT I'd love to try the game. This could be a different simulation experience to that of The Sims and competition is always good. I just think it may lack a bit of an art style because it's so hyper realistic but I'd love to try it if my computer can handle this level of graphics lol

I know there is a purpose but I hope there will be a way to take off the symbols and highlights around the characters. It would break immersion for me.
Also, this looks mobile-like to me. Being that it's unreal I hope PC is the main target. Playing this in VR would also be cool.
