How To Install And Setup Elasticsearch Engine On Linux

Question: Why is the repository not required when I used CentOS? I just did:
1. Install JVM
2. Performed WGET to download RPM
3. Perform rpm -ivh elasticsearch.rpm

So basically..
1. Check JVM
2. Check repository
3. Install elasticsearch
4. Edit yml
5. Start elasticsearch service
6. Verify service via curl
