Can the sniffer find seeds on blocks that a player has placed or no?

Dont see why they wouldnt make the torch flower have more of a purpose

A WHOLE update! New mob, new item's, ALL of that for another way to cyan and orange dye..

The torchflower and the pitcher flower need to be useful, they feel so dull.

does the sniffer farm keeps working even tho I travel very very far away from it? or do i need to be in the same or near rendering distance from the mobs to work?

I almost forgot to mention as well I do use Allays to farm the seeds. Definitely need to make a farm like this

Another thing that should have also been mentioned is that if you are breeding them and any of them are hurt it will just heal them until they're full health. Yep had to learn that the hard way. I wish they could regenerate

I only use the seeds. You forgot to mention that the pitcher pods and torchflower seeds can be used to tame parrots and breed chickens. I don't have a farm for these because its really not that useful. Just for the record I was actually hoping they would have added way more variety plants. I had the thought that some would be edible and some could be used for potions but it was big disappointment 😞😞😞😞. I would have much preferred The Rascal but its okay. I don't have a farm for the Sniffers because I always assumed that if you did that well after awhile they would run out of specific spots to dig. But apparently it doesn't matter. I just bred them several times and then let them explore the world. Most of them just go into the woods. I remember when I was trying to get them at the same time i was trying to get the goat horns and unfortunately when I finally did get two one of the goats killed one right in front of me. Thankfully though i found another egg and there's over 10 in my world. I even named them after characters known for their nose such as I named one Mr. Snuffleupagus and Wild Mutt from Ben 10 and even Scooby Doo 😂😂😂😂😂

So the torchflower and pitcher pod have a 50/50 chance of being dug up? It doesn't feel 50/50 because I'm getting more pitcher plants than not. It feels like it favours more the pitcher plants.

So if I find the torchflower ugly the whole sniffer addition is worthless.

Can't you also just use a hopper minecart track below the farm?

Maybe the torch flowers will be used as torches, and the pitcher pot as a part of the crafting of something i call "bug catcher".

Shouldn't the egg laying be true for chickens?

Rather than baby chickens there shoukd be chicken eggs.

Chickens eggs 100% hatch a baby chicken

And regular eggs probably won't but might still.

I wish they added some brewing recipes or potion recipes with these new plants.

A lot of people are saying the torch flower should emit light (honestly I have no idea why they were even added to the game without that effect) but I haven't really seen many uses for the pitcher flower get suggested. I think with how tedious they are to farm they could have an area of effect where they stop mob spawning close by but without the light. It would be nice to have dark builds that don't rely on carpets/slabs all the time, just bury some pitcher flowers underneath

I think that the sniffer is one if the more useless additions to MC. The eggs are almost impossible to find and the design is one of the more unappealing of all the mobs. I don't know how this new mob was voted for version 1.20. There's so many other additions that would've been WAY better. I would've voted for literally anything else.

But what are they good for? Got about 30 of them. Got the plants, the seeds, and plenty of eggs. Now what? Serious question.

Either one of these flowers could have a use on mob farms so you could look around for an easier way to make a creeper only farm

I'm convinced my game is broken I've been to so many locations and no eggs yet

Do items fall though mud ? I suppose if they do and you have the resources could you not make a collection system using hoppers under the mud and thus the seeds will be collected :)?

so the whole sniffer thing is just useless unless you want some beautiful plants... how disappointing

Idk if this is only on bedrock version, but I notice that if you turn the tick speed up, it makes the egg hatch faster, but the snifflet still takes the full 20 minutes to grow into an adult. Neat :)
