I didn't think it was possible for you to be any cooler. I was wrong, from one HOG driver to a future HOG driver welcome to the family. Get a Harley, you will never regret it. I bought my first Harley in march 2010 a 2010 Electra Glide Ultra limited, have 32k miles on her. I just put a deposit down on my 2nd bike, a 2013 CVO Breakout that should be here in a month or so. I was 42 when I bought the Ultra my only regret was I didn't buy 20 years earlier. Trust me you will not regret it.

Typically, the victory models have more power. You can feel it in the seat of your pants more when ya twist the throttle. Theres nothing like the sound of a harley though!

Most people that ride...Don't wan't to hear about dieing on a bike...

you should look into adventure bikes. you have alot of trails in tennessee and mountain roads. plus there perfect for taller riders

Being from Wisconsin and owning a Harley Street Bob, I can only say, you need one.

I bought a Harley Crossbones a couple of years ago. I would not go back to not having one. It is easy to enjoy the newer fuel injected Harleys and I ride some every week.

yes, this america I like and love, simple and kind men, guns, motorcycles and tractors; this really is a blessed land. if ron paul wouldn't be so neglected, I would believe it could actually have a bright future continuing those traditions and lifestyles. but the other side I see (i'm not american, I'm not anglo saxon, I'm baltic) - wars, wars, wars, people slowly being stripped of their rights by government, degraded school educations, obamas, romneys and etc. - you need more Hicocks45's

I looked at the "dual sport" bikes, and that is what I took my training course on. For much road riding, they are way lighter than the Harley, plus even though some of them sit higher, the relationship between my feet and shifters / brake leaves a lot to be desires. Very difficult to shift. Makes the Harley with forward controls a dream to operate.

I hope you reconsider! pleassseee don't do it!!! it doesn't matter how safe of a rider you are it's the other person on the road that never sees you!!! doesn't matter how careful you are! I had a couple friends that have died on bikes I'll never ride again. I'll pray for you Hickok!

guns and bikes! fun and funner! people that hear you have a bike and all the sudden go into the "they're so dangerous" and "i certainly hope you wear a helmet" and the "i'll pray for you" rant are so laughably condescending. yeah they're dangerous, but so is crossing the street, what with all the maniac cagers driving around on their cell phones. my dad encouraged me to take up the both the hobbies of shooting and motorcycles because they're both excellent lessons in awareness and responsibility

I would recommend you seriously consider VICTORY...  Much lower continued costs of ownership... More reliable.  All around Better design than the self destructing Harleys.

I'm from West Texas. We perspire too, but it evaporates instantly and helps keep you cool. It's a dry heat, you know.
