Wait For Response! | Discord.py

Very nice thank you very much for this tutorial! I do however still have some questions left. for example: if i do not use @client.command but rather @client.message and don't have my wait_for in the same function but rather call it in a function called from a function that is called by an @client.message event handler. then i would need to make that function async so that i can await. which i can't because it gives me an error: cannot run ... as it already has a running event loop. even tried create_thread instead of run with no success either. do i need to utilise multithreading / multiprocessing here?
