Apple AirPods Pro 2 - Real World REVIEW! (Not What I Expected...)

Update: The Noise App only registers the Pro 2’s noise reduction. My mistake, although anecdotally I do believe the new Pros are much better - in the order of 2x as Apple claims

What I've noticed about the ANC on these, is that sometimes they compensate for bad fit on one ear, I could pull one earbud out a little bit and it adjusts, thus giving me equal ANC in both ears, it really is a game changer compared to 1st gen, my left earhole is a bit bigger than the right one.

I feel the original Airpods pro microphone quality is better than the Airpods pro 2. The Airpods pro 2 sound a little muddy.

im considering them and the Sony 1000xm4. has anyone used both and can tell me which one i should choose when i mainly go to the gym and runing? i love listening to music most of the day so battery wins in Sony but what about sound and comfort? thank you!

my issue with the ear fit test is that all of them say good seal and they kind of hurt.. so idk if i need an xxs or if the s are fine but my ears are just small so the body of the earpods are just snug regardless of the tips

Mines arrived yesterday after having had the first GEN for little over a year. my baby’s baby ( my dog’s puppy ) somehow got a hold of them last week and destroyed them so I had no choice. So far I must say I’m loving them!

I was holding off from buying these until I realised I use my old AirPods every single day and also at night to get to sleep pretty regularly. If these last three years before the batteries degrade or they break thats still only 20p a day.

You should test the airpods pro 2 on a windy day.. Riding bicycle against and with the wind.. Terrible earbuds.. So much wind noise, in noise cancelling mode too.. Really not worth the high price unless they fix this issue..

I own both pair and I will disagree completely with the audio sound quality. The second gen are way better than the first ones. The dynamic equalizer that adjusts to the type of audio track being played is crazy good. The sound strange on the pro 2’s is wider and more is definitely heard.

Microphone quality is totally crap. Sounds like underwater and is not fluent. 1st generation is much better, very dissapointed with this 299€ product from Apple.

Just ordered a pair today. Have had a pair of the old Gen2’s since 2020, and while I absolutely love how well they consistently pair, I use the train a lot and am fed up with having to crank the volume up to the max in order to drown out the noise! Very much looking forward to spatial audio too 😊

How long it takes to be fully charged using 20w apple adapter?

Are you using a cover for your airpod pros? Just got mine and was wondering if it’s recommended? The bad point is just that most covers make them quite bulky and don’t support mag safe…

1/20/23 charged my air pod pros put it in and 30 mins later dead. When I bought them I said I have a business and I need a wireless ear bud to take calls and this is what they sell me. I’m 1 day out of being able to return them. I hope I cause misery to them because I will try.

The outside mic comparison was the key reason i'm off to go grab some of these now. I think the sound quality was very noticeable. Thanks for the solid review.

How about build quality? Had gen ones, two ones, how both crapped out after about 6 months in different ways.

What’s the fit like compared too the 1st gen ? I just couldn’t get them too stay in my ears, the XS tips might suit me better but unsure

People keep saying they notice the noise cancelation being better, I don’t notice any difference

Question how do you find share audio. Found out today this feature unfortunately doesn’t work with earbuds without w1 h1 or h2 chip.

Does the AirPod case still get scratched up easily?

Far from a Bass head but the Pro ll’s have like, none. Not quite sure what these listeners are accustomed to but…My 2 year old JayBirds sound better but the Pro’s nail everything else.

This review clinched it for me... I'll be buying a pair in a few weeks... The microphone is just great and I can switch between my phone and ipad...

They are slightly differently shaped, I noticed it straight away in my ear, it’s subtle but when you wear them for hours daily for years then it’s obvious.

The extra small ear tip makes a huge difference for me, I don’t even feel like I have anything in my ear!

Definitely a big difference recording the audio , lots of volume drop when you switched to the older ones.

It's happened to me a few times now that it starts to sound duller in 'Own transparency mode' (a bit like in normal mode). I looked in the settings and my OWN TRANSPARENCY MODE that I recently configured by myself was automatically turned off so that the DEFAULT TRANSPARENCY MODE was activated instead. Happens multiple times a day, mostly when I'm outside. Anyone has the same issues?

I bought one week ago and tomorrow lm going to apple store to check it.sound is not clear and always backround noisy.many peopl say we hear too much nois, wind. Music quailty is terrible .l cant compare with Anker.Anker is half price cheap and %1000 better music sounds.there is no difference on mic and maybe clear.l hope when they check it l can be sure this is not normal and they can give me new one.If they say this is normal product “ WAOOW SUCH A BIG MARKETİNG FOR TERRİBLE PRODUCT” .. highly recomended Anker!!!
