It's interesting to even think about what people thought about the 2000's back in the late 1900's like some of Ray Bradbury's books, which some of his works were about the "future" (ie. 2000-2010) which we know now didn't come true. Same for Stanley Kurbeck's "2001" (which also didn't really come true, although had some compelling parts to the plot) but still hasn't happened as of right now (like a deep space multi-year manned mission to some distant location).

Amusing as it is, some stuff was predicted hundreds of years ago. Not so much the question of if but when and how. Nice to look in the rear wiew mirror indeed. Thanks!

I just stumbled across your channel. The first video I watched was the one about our brains being biased. Then i clicked on this one and at the beginning of the video you had a text disclaimer that you were sorry about the noisy children who were getting out of school. Anyway i found myself only focusing on those sounds at first and made the connection that maybe my brain was being biased. It was kind of weird to recognize what was happening. But then again maybe i am crazy for thinking this lol 😆

I would say they nailed the future kitchen. Big corporations higher food engineers and chemists nowadays.NOT chefs everything is full of artificial flavors colors additives preservatives pesticides herbicides and everything else I missed that I can't think of right now only a little bit actual food value is there.
Not to mention growing chicken in a vat of chemicals

This was when airplanes were first invented, and it's understandable that they figured the air was a new frontier to be conquered, that's why many of these predictions took place in the air..flying cars, airborne sports, cafe's that serve airplanes, flying firefighters. It's almost disappointing that we really haven't advanced much in that area since then. Airplanes are still pretty much the only way to fly, and only done by professionals commercially. You would think it would be fairly easy to make an affordable and safe device we could attach to our back to fly around at will.

The on the spot tailored clothes could 100% be a thing, we have the technology to do so, it's just that the economy has moved to mass production where you sell thousands if not millions of units to make your profits, back in the day any piece of clothing was an expense and so having a machine making single-units would be in line with the economy of the time, same goes for many other exemples.
Also, speech to text is aviable since the early 2000s and was working since the 80s. It's been 10 years that speech to text works well enough to be used at your desk.

hard working people back at 1900 made America what it is now and they pictured the future like a heaven expecting the future generations to help their countries as they did . what is the future leading generation doing now ? playing Tetris and supporting it by attacking a news anchor mother on social media . no wonder America is doomed .

I have a few things to mention that you should perhaps consider.

Automated GPS controlled tractors have been a thing for over 20 years. With the flip of a switch, farmers have been able to harvest crops remotely for a looong time now. That image was 100% accurate.
Also, speech to text was well into development for the consumer market back in and before 2000. Remember Dragon Naturally Speaking? For WINDOWS 95!? I do. Apple and Google don't do everything.

And you thought lawn darts were bad, kids? Meet my old friend, mid air lawn tennis!
