It is also that Turing (as a character) recognizes a superior intellect that he does not ever need to talk down to, for even a second. Turing realizes he's dealing with someone with a whip sharp mind who can 'stay with him' so to speak. Where he never has to say anything twice, or differently to Mark Strong's character. And, in that, due to Strong's position in and as a character (military deep state, etc)....that Mark's character is not anyone that he'd ever want to fuck around with. As for mark's physicality, one might call it 'The Framing of Power'. Same for Charles Dance. It's about how one carries themselves, at all times, with respect to the transference of the idea, the suggestion of power, in pure confidence. With the eye of that power moving to the object at hand, like a animal looking at prey, or having it's gaze in and on one thing while still seeing and observing all around.

It is the kind of thing that a martial arts master does, but is different than how civilized royalty might do it. Same projection, different arena. It looks dangerous, because it is all about danger, danger about to explode. Mark is using the unwritten code, the physical code for mastery of the people and the situation in the room. This is old, as old as humans. Granted, it is exaggerated in these cases, for dramatic effect, but it is a very real thing.

Always the great breakdown. People are lured in yet don't know they're being lured in is perhaps one of the greatest tricks in movies, advertising, & even in politics (they don't know why they vote a certain way, yet feel compelled to do so). This is why with a very high degree of accuracy given 2 photographs of different politicians running for office, based on pictures alone (knowing nothing of their political leanings) a winner can be chosen. If those reading this have their doubt's...you should read more.

The fact Mark Strong hasn’t played Agent 47 yet is criminal.

This is so fascinating. Mark is so subtly brilliant and probably part of why he's so under the mainstream radar. I remember how I was so on edge watching these scenes because of Mark's chilling performance, not so much due to Benedict's nervous reaction, because he was nervous all the time anyway. I so love Mark Strong!
