Divception: HTML Output Compared For Oxygen, Beaver Builder, Elementor

I always thought page builders were great until I got told different from performance experts.

You did not mention these 3 bad things about Oxygen:

1. All the content is wrapped in shortcodes. So just like other builders are doing Divception, Oxygen is doing shortcodeseption.


2. Dozens of most popular WP plugins are not compatible with oxygen builder.


3. Users have to buy expensive oxygen builder addons from 3rd party to do things which other page builders help in doing without any addons.

There is some logic behind a lot of themes that have "divitis" that is being overlooked - it's called cross-platform usability. I'd be interested to look at Screenshots of all of these on Safari, Firefox Mac/Win, Chrome Mac/Win and various mobile devices. That would be a true test.

If you look at raw source code as opposed generated code, you will see that pretty much the entire site is build by JavaScript in the browser. That makes me suspicious about SEO of sites built by Oxygen and other Wordpress builders.

It's been a year. Does Oxygen still output clean, minimal code?

And with so few divs Oxygen is capable of building responsive pages? It doesn't use a grid library?

Are sites built with Oxygen compatible with all browsers used these days (except for those with tiny market share)? Flexbox is pretty new, isn't it?

I just got Oxygen and I love it. Took me a moment to wrap my head around but the training videos and Facebook community help me get a better understanding of this tool. I'm building a new client site with it and so far so good. Love the way it looks. Currently using bits and pieces of reusable elements from various templates but I am having fun modifying those elements to my will.

Great platform. I still use Divi but I will use that for my lesser paying clients.

As much as I like Oxygen, this video was not done correctly. You used columns in the other 2 builders, but used horizontal stacking in Oxygen. You should have used columns in all of them, to give an actual representation of how they handle code to perform the exact same task.

I think those BB and Elementor or whoever guys can come up with the same clean code. There must be a reason why they have all those HTML tags in there. For example, compatibility with older browsers like IE 8, IE 10, etc, not to mention different mobile browsers.

Isn't the massive difference simply due to Oxygen using flex-box ? And if so, then is Oxygen backward compatible with old browsers (for corporates etc?)

Do you know How good Oxygen's responsive build is? Are you able to do adjust to specific devices ie from mobile range to tablet range? Are you able to adjust each section individually as a responsive element?

Amazing comparison video. After creating a dozen websites with elementor and beaver builder, I never really compared their code in such detail. You have undoubtedly convinced me on Oxygen builder's superiority.

HOLY S%#^! Never have seen a pagebuilder code as clean as this! SERIOUSLY! As A front-end dev, this is eyes watering lol I thought it can't be done but damn. You guys at Oxy are pretty damn good! I bet with this one its pretty damn lightweight. Do you have a Trial by any chance?

What is the real impact in time? Does it affect SEO onpage?

I was with you until you started shit-talking competitors. I agree with everything you said, but it looks low-class on a professional video. This topic is very important to me and may even sway who I use when I use a page builder. Oxygen seems like it's quickly becoming top brand, but you gotta lose the salt.

Just bought Oxygen without even knowing this - wow that's just insane. And yes I have clients that look at this stuff so it's always embarrassing when you're asked "wth is all this?" Can't wait to get into using Oxygen.

Crap....you're making a compelling argument! And I just bought Elementor a month ago. You're highlighting what has bugged me for years is how crazy devs get with their embedded DIVs. I'll have to give Oxygen a try because it looks like it can replace my page builder and maybe even my framework.

From the code output point of view Elementor and Beaver Builder look prehistoric compared to Oxygen. I trusted this excellent WordPress site builder since version 1.
