I agree with everything besides illuminate. I think it is C but arguably D due to it not offering you anything you can't do for credits.

Just a question, because rejuvenate is really good because it cuts anti heal from 90 to 60. Why don’t we think of Guardian in the same way? I know it’s more expensive but it cuts wrecker down from 90 to 60 so it does the same thing. Is there a big reason that it’s still bad?

I use ALWAYS Fernando because i love blocking attacks for my teammates with my shield . But chronos helps me get fireball even quicker making Fernando even better on dps which is something he lacks a bit

I use Guardian only with:
- Yagotath 2nd talent. Without shield tank in team (barik, inara). Or, to boost additionally Octavia's shield at spawn and Torvald's shield.
-Fernando, when opponents don't buy enough wrecker or don't buy at all, just to force them to buy wrecker.😂 I fake buy Guardian, then undo, buying reju or else

I would mostly agree with the entire tier list except life rip. That is D tier in my opinion

The big problem with Guardian is that it has an innate arms race against Wrecker. If your shield is good enough to warrant buffing its HP, it's good enough to warrant the enemies investing in increased shield damage. Yes, you could theoretically buff Guardian to compensate, but that doesn't change the fact that it's in an arms race with Wrecker. If you buff Guardian enough to make a counterpoint against Wrecker, then you more than likely introduce a shield meta that revolves around the characters with the best shields and the characters who are the best at breaking or ignoring them. Guardian isn't really balanceable while it has to compete with Wrecker, it'll either be too weak or too strong by comparison, and Wrecker is an important item that isn't going anywhere

I agree w this teir list for the most part i personally think nimble is more situational and belongs in B teir but yea i hard agree w everything else, i think if they increased the duration on lethatlaty more characters could use it better other than meave.

Life rip is also amazing on Lian especially with her first talent

Life Rip works well with Atlas while his shield is active.
Master Riding = instant S tier
Haven = A+ , because it's costly, specially if your team is losing the payload & not making lots of credits, you won't be buying many other items

I like your list! Here's mine:

S: Haven, Resil (always pick on every champion)
A: Chronos, Rejuv, Nimble, Wrecker, Master Riding (very good)
B: Morale Boost, Kill to Heal, Veteran (not bad)
C: Deft Hands, Illuminate, Bulldozer (usually bad)
D: Lethality, Life Rip (almost never useable)
F: Guardian (actually throwing, if you pick this, you're probably illiterate)

If I had to combine everything into the same tiers you did, I'd just move Guardian to D tier.

One thing you forgot to mention apropos life rip is that it's more generally better on lower fire rate champions, especially snipers, since that first uncauterized shot can be much bigger, ie 540 health on a kinessa/strix headshot, and it makes you a little less reliant on your support, and less afraid of poke. But an item being only decent on the worst champions in the game isn't exactly helping its case lol.

I think Master Riding is and has been very underrated for a very long time. Being able to get back into the fight faster makes the world of a difference on all but the smallest maps, and can be the difference maker between the overtime that gives your team another fight and losing the cap. In the same way that Haven is good for keeping you in the fight longer, Master Riding is too, getting you back in faster. I find it's especially effective on initiators like Ruckus and Ash who often sacrifice themselves for swathes of space.

Putting chronos but not resil and reju in S tier is wrong, make S tier only for haven or put all of them there. Buying life rip or lethality is just throwing, easy D tiers. Master riding and veteran are definitely better than the other B tiers, bump them up one.

A low output healer gets exactly the same bonus from Rejuvenate than a high output healer.

Hot take, nimble tier 3 should just be the base speed people are at, at least from a purely game feel perspective. Also revert the weird jump shortening they did when not by a wall, it feels horrible. Like why is the jump even like that, its super wonky and unintuitive. Game feels a lil slow walk speed wise and jump wise.

How you do the comparison of Guardian vs Wrecker makes no sense. For the other team, to make 90% more damage vs shields, every single one of the has to buy wrecker. So they have to invest 5 times the credits. If only one of them buys wrecker, Torvald still has the full bonus vs the other 4. In addition you can only compare an item with what you could buy instead.

I think the only factor holding lethality back from b tier is its very short duration. Add 1 or 1.5 seconds to it and it would be great on some champs.

I think wrecker should be next to illuminate honestly. Both are situational - illuminate against certain champions, wrecker for certain champions. Wrecker is great but I just don't see it as a must pick over some of the items you had in B tier.

Haven reduce liferip healing on enemies.

If there's two healers or a Raum with the healing talent (technically two healers), you'd want to buy rejuvenate on a healer.

Deft hands comes in handy on low ammo champs. It’s critical on Lex

Life rip is really good for some champs like hipfire stricks, koga,Omen. But especially hipfire stricks.

rejuc is quite more useful for healer with HoT like Jenos since the heal is delayed so any increase can make a life/death change... while those with direct massive heal will often just overheal...

C tier stand for Circunstancial... I would place illuminate in C tier because unless their skye or strix the other side... it's not really needed...

what if guardian would also heal you for 30% of the damage done to your shield?

I think that the shield that are deployable shall be treated as deployable insteand of shield...
and shield whoulc only affect the personnal shield buff.. like those from torvald...
but the shield of barik or nyz as an example should be deployables...

Master Riding kicks ass and I stand by saying it belongs in S tier on basically any Siege map, especially for tanks when the enemy team has characters like Drogoz, Khan, and Moji that have the power to just instakill you whenever they want. Getting back into the fight much quicker makes a world of difference

Would say perfect. But chronos and damage resist, kind of hard to say one is better than the other. But in most cases I use, and see chronos used a bit more first. Abilities are hard to replace.

Only Ds are IMO Lethality, Guardian and Bulldozer, S like obviously chronos haven k2h, I personally like mb and nimble as well
Controversy opinion: Illu is overrated (at least for me as a combustible drogoz main I never buy it on him), most Skyes and Saatis are insanely easy to kill with game sense since in most circumstances they only got 2 ways to get into cover, you shoot one randomly, you got them 50% of cases

The only time life rip was viable back in the day, was when a person did not have a guarantee of a kill, but, might get kills and get out, with a tiny sliver of health, by using it. I used to be one of those players. Survived tens of thousands of fights, with as little of health as anyone can have. But trying it recently after coming back to the game, it seems worthless. I would rather die than waste the credits. Specially late game. Which is the only time to get it after much better picks, such as damage resistance.

Guardian 100% needs help to be useful. I think 2 things need to happen to the item then other balance needs to happen to wrecker and bulldozer. Reduce the cost scaling of guardian to 250 and have it affect deployables to increase the use case scenarios. Then from there balance out wrecker bulldozer price and scaling.
My only other comment on your item list is that veteran has niche advantages over haven on some champs with DR because of diminished returns.

How is chronos d? 😂I always see you and every other gm use it all the time. On some builds and play styles it is invaluable.

Funny; the moment I'm watching this I got a notification from Paladins twitter account that they are adding a new defense item to the game.. LOL

tbh lethality is not that bad of an item, but it's champion specific which is the main problem with it. It's only really good on characters like meave that can take advantage of both benefits well, or characters that get lots of elims through assists like torvald. Even then it's by no means a necessary item, even on the characters it's best on.
Edit: I also think it would be interesting if lethality increased self knockback, that way characters like bomb king could take advantage of it to soar around the map more. Could also create movement tech with characters like pip that are less mobile and have self knockback on their weapon shots.

Well, they already announced that they're changing the items. Pretty hilarious timing, honestly.

You're wasting your breath, I've seen paladins ranked players and they are some hopelessly lost souls. They hate everyone around them as much as they hate themselves.
