I started producing when Scaler 2 was released and this has helped me so much with getting things started. This plugin has many things hidden away that just make your life easier.

Another good review. I use both Scaler 2 and the Captain suite of apps.. they both have their own strengths as you pointed out. From my own experience S2 has sonically superior voicing and more sympathetic processing for instruments such piano strings and choir. It also determines the key of imported audio very accurately...nice. I’m not critical of either apps , we will all have our preferences but at the end of the these two tools put song writing into warp mode. They are a long way up the line from B in a box and actually improve knowledge of music theory. 🙏👍🎩

Yes Scaler 2 is nice. However in Ableton live I get regularly crashes of Ableton live. I think they should address this. Not only progress in options, but also make it stable. Ableton live 10 just crashed on me. Because I wanted to add one chord to the progression in Scaler 2. All my work lost of course. It has to do with me. Because I always quickly find flaws of whatever software or plugin.

Can we find the chords of a 2-3 minute song with scaler 2 ? Scaler 2 chord detection is very mixed and gives poor results: / Couldn't it be a simpler and more pleasant chord

I am considering purchasing this item for my son. Is this something that you plugin to your computer or is it a file of some sort that you upload or download onto your computer? Do I need to upgrade from windows 10 to a higher system in order for this to function right? Do I need to get a large monitor for this system to work? Does the Scaler 2 come with instruction manual on how to install this thing, whatever it is and can it work with any size keyboard or piano? Can you please answer these questions for me so I can feel comfortable with making this purchase? Thanks, Dee

Hello, thank you for answering my questions in layman's terms. I don't know much about these tech gadgets. I want to get something that will help my son with his creativity so, I have another question. My son is 14 yrs old and he doesn't read music. Will this system remember and record the notes, keys, and music that he plays so that it will be available later for him to refer back to? Would this system help him name chords and notes? He gets so frustrated when he plays this beautiful song that he came with, but he can't remember what he played an hour or a day later. Thanks

Captain Chords is garbage. Can only use while you’re online. Scaler 2 man. Where it’s at. Buy it and support the developer. It’s only $50.

i make nice and beautiful melodies all the time but i have difficulties with the bassline and chords is the scaler2 product to buy in this case
