LOVE MAKING THIS. I switched to vegetarian knorr powdered broth and its sooooo goooooooooooood still
ОтветитьIs that too much salt?
ОтветитьI made this at home for my husband and he liked it. Note: he is from Japan!
Although I would recommend soba nooddles and a bit of sake and mirin if you happen to have any!!!
Awesome
How interesting... This recipe is different than the one I was taught...
ОтветитьVery first ingredient is not something I can get in just about any shop. Yup, this is pretty useless for me.
ОтветитьCan i leave out the msg??
ОтветитьLots of questions. I'll only ask two.
1. Why would you add 1/4 tsp of MSG to only one serving of ramen when you're already adding 1 whole tsp each of Hondashi and of chicken bouillon powder, both of which are made up primarily of salt and MSG?
2. Exactly when did you start your 10 minute timer?
Well I watched this video about three years ago for the first time and I finally got round to ordering all the stuff to make it! And it was really good to be fair, I wont be using nori next time as it makes it stink a little too much for me, but I did some pork chops and sliced them and the egg made it amazing! it is extremely filling though and I couldn't finish all of it. Thanks so much for this video!
ОтветитьShoyu. Mirin. Ok. NEXT. Wait. Hondashi? My mistake it was a fast Ramen... not an inexpensive ramen. or an easy ingredients to find ramen.
Ответитьwhat kind of oil is good for aroma oil?
ОтветитьLooks fantastic... Looking forward to giving it a go.
ОтветитьI can’t eat ramen unless it’s dressed like this now 🤤
ОтветитьWhat type of noodles are used here
ОтветитьIs there anything you do with the green onion and ginger that was used to make the aroma oil?
Ответитьrr you can"t market a video with "you can find the ingredients in pretty much any supermarket in the US" and then come with hondashi, that stuff is not that common
ОтветитьOh my goddddddd. Ramen is my favorite 😯
Ответитьsauce
oil
stock
noodle
topping
Can you tell me if this has any pork in it? I’m allergic i wanna try this but without pork products
Ответитьliterally made this today, tasted great amazing recipe!
ОтветитьI'm not American i'm english why must you assume an English speaker is "here in america" -__-
ОтветитьI want to try this to but were can i get the ingrediënts?
ОтветитьEmmymade introduced me to the page. Love the recipe. This is a perfect single serving recipe
ОтветитьHi @wayoframen I am from Philippines. I want to know if the concept of ramen cart is good as a business?
ОтветитьEmmymade sent me...she says hello
ОтветитьWell done, thanks
ОтветитьWhy did you say MSG
ОтветитьLike how some vegetarians like ramen and the broth is boiled dead piggies 😈 lack of education is awsome
ОтветитьThanks, I was always trying to figure this out but the mirin, hondashi, etc what can I substitute for if they aren't around?
ОтветитьThis is probably the easiest bestest ramen recipe I’ve ever tried. I actually had all the ingredients needed cause I live in an Asian household which helps out a ton- Anyway it turned out literally amazing and the flavor is soooo good, tysm!!
ОтветитьIf you declare with your mouth, Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved..Romans..10:9
ОтветитьLol msg. How do u know if it’s actually any good if u just add a synthetic flavor booster over it ?
ОтветитьIs it possible to use the scaled-up version of this recipe to make more bowls? Asking for a friend who wanted to impress his Indonesian in-law.
ОтветитьThis recipe is awesome! I made my broth with 2 cups of water, 1 heaping tsp of white miso paste and 1.5 tsp of mushroom seasoning since I didn't have the chicken stock powder and fish stock powder. It is SOOOO much better than the seasoning packets!
Thanks for sharing!
How do you make the pork?
Ответитьdid you use light soy sauce or dark soy sauce?
ОтветитьHim: u can easily find those at ur grocery store
Me trying to make ramen at 3am:
Ryan where did you get your red and white bowls? Have a link?
ОтветитьYo, I just tried this and it turned out pretty great. It tasted a lot like Nissin's Raoh Shoyu -- a winner in my book! Instead of making my own tare from scratch I went for the lazy option and used some bottled mentsuyu + soy sauce. Don't have Hondashi, only Lee Kum Kee chicken powder but again, the mentsuyu takes care of the dashi components I figured. Also used the baking soda + spaghetti hack and that was...interesting. Definitely lacks alkalinity as I didn't add enough, but it smelled like I was boiling some wonton noodles! The negi-abura definitely made this dish; really that was the hardest thing to make lol.
ОтветитьWhat's shoyu?
ОтветитьMy mom and I make it and it tastes lovely
ОтветитьI just tried making this and its absolutely amazing! I've never had ramen before so if this can be soo good I wonder what true ramen taste like 😋Took me at least a couple hours chasing ingredients but I did find most of them at some big asian shop. Luckily they sold the tare sauce too so i ddnt have to do the first part of the video. Used normal salt and olive oil. I'll be making this often
Ответитьtare also called eel sauce in case you cant find it
ОтветитьSo I already had most of the ingredients at home except for fish powder stock, and fresh green onions, and ginger. I substituted with fish sauce, powdered ginger, and sweet onion. It all turned out very delicious! I added a drop more mirin, and pinch of sugar for my taste. Delicious! Thank you so much for sharing!
ОтветитьTo myself:
Less water
Dont need msb
I can't believe this is the first time I watched this! It's great :-) I'd love to see you attempt something like this again, but with easier to find ingredients. A couple of possible hints: "Angel hair pasta" or spaggatini works surprisingly well in ramen. You want something in the 1.1 mm size (or even smaller if you can find it). People are also going to have difficulty finding "shoyu". Instead guide towards "Kikkomen tamari" which is actually shoyu. I would also skip the tiny amount of MSG because it just complicates it. The hon dashi is going to be tricky to get around. But the thing is that you want umami. As crazy as this sounds, exploring other ingredients might be interesting. Even cutting up a tomato, mixing in a bit of salt and then letting the (mostly) clear juices drip through a strainer might work. It will be a bit sweet is the only problem (skip the mirin in the tare, but a dash of vodka might be useful). There are lots of sources of umami that are common in the west. Just a matter of experimenting.
ОтветитьI am gonna give this a try, wonder if a little garlic would be good in the Aroma oil? What do you think? Any easy Chashu recipe? The chashu I see at ramen stalls looks so good!
ОтветитьWhat’s the aroma oil and where’d it come from ?!?!???
ОтветитьI’m so having this for breakfast first thing in the morning
