I’m a kikokushijo so I speak English. I seen a white man come into a ramen store and stand at the counter for 10 minutes and no one helped him. I was too embarrassed to help him or speak to him.

You get that stuff in every country, sadly. I live and work in Japan and never ran out of work. Sometimes facing racism is part of life.
I'm majoring in Business, trade and speak five languages but back in Europe I was always denied any managing position and was most of the time redirected to kitchen position as "Asian" are good at cooking... So safe to say in a way, racism and discrimination are everywhere 😂

Westerners have to realise that multiculturalism doesnt work in the real world this isnt a fantasy world where people from all ethnicity are in good harmony just look at USA and western europe filled with violence and stagnation becaue of diversity in race and culture westerners need to wake up and stop pushing their beliefs on diversity noy everyone accepts that kind of suicidal beliefs humans are tribal in nature when it comes to ethnicity , culture and socio economics

If you make clear you are English person and not American, they will let you in ! It is just Amerian are not understanding , rude and loud so sorry about this.. next time say you are Igirisu Jin and greet them in the natural polite manner you have so owner understand ... once America Jin come inside, they are really difficult people so we avoid it I am sorry for misunderstand, I hope this helps you next time !

Japanese people are generally friendly to foreigners, and I myself am against racism, but I hope you can understand the hatred of foreigners caused by criminal damage.

I’m not defending the owner, and have not seen the footage. However, my guess is that he’s not as racist as he is fearful of losing his business, especially during COVID- word gets out in a small village that he is hosting gaijin customers and he could be done for.

It's not racism,you don't have someone to vouch for you to eat there. It's like their custom,it's weird but this is Japanese you're talking about. Even Japanese can't eat there if they don't have someone to vouch for them to eat there

That is a big shame.

That's why in the past every time I travel to Japan, I don't really dare to walk into a local Japanese restaurant because I can't speak Japanese, too shy, only words or little phrases to get by, and if the shop owners or local patrons talks shit about me I wouldn't even know.

It sad but this is a generation still shaped by the old way and taught to hate foreigns. When i visted i was always mistaken as a American pig... Im British pal which i then got a warm welcome. Its a cultural difference.
