This no longer work. Microsoft changed the options in USERS. There's no more change the user or something. This would have been good for me to troubleshoot the Outlook issue.

What I hate when looking for solution is that solutions are dispersed on the web and this problem come from different forms. In my case, the ntuser.dat from my folder is corrupted or damaged due to forced shut down. I found out that 2nd account and after are affected by this problem and is available on version 1607 and 1703 of Windows 10.
It keeps tell me that making a new account solves the problem but that's just a work-a-round. My first profile has a bigger ntuser.dat. Maybe if I copy and paste this file to the corrupted profile, that will solve the problem. Will this be worth it? It's been 3 week I am looking for a solution.

Tested solution:
-The duplicate SID in registry (even if I follow the step, it keep making temporary profile, wasting HDD space for nothing)
-Copy and paste the ntuser.dat of Default folder from another Windows 10 Computer (turn out it doesn't damage the computer, the version is ignored.)
-Windows 10 update (my laptop reached it max update, version 1607 and troubleshooting update doesn't do much)

The last solution is to copy and paste the ntuser.dat from the first account to the corrupted one. Little story is that on the first account, the start tab doesn't work and told us to log off. It was a problem since you can right click and shut down the PC. I won't the radical way and making a third account.

pretty sure nvdia driver update did something to windows. my first reaction when i saw this generic logon using my credentials was WTF! how can i log on and have no files in my cloud folders or on PC etc.? thanks MS!!! SO I shut down, restarted and everything came back. Does this mean i'm ok or will it happen again. In XX continuous years of windows, this has never happened to me. Almost as scary as the "enter bitlocker unlock key" thing also happened recenlty on another pc, also a first.

Really helpful tutorial man. Was hoping you'd bring in settings transfer also with changing UID, as I need to copy from an old, dead OS to a new one and we need the whole profile setup with settings also. Got any tips there? Please?
