Gotta be honest, most people prefer DDLC over the fact that it has shock value and nothing more to it. Sure DDLC+ was more full of story and character development but YOU and ME and HER was just a better visual novel overall. Its just fact, miyuki for the win.

The only reason why DDLC is more popular is because totono remained Japan exclusive for almost a decade, the Japanese already had a taste of what a VN deconstruction looks like since 2013, I don't think DDLC would have the same impact if totono was translated earlier.

Also nice reminder that both Aoi and Miyuki appear on the nitroplus fighting game, I don't know if the DDLC characters appear in any other actual games.
