I went to China 5/6 times in the mid-1990s to teach seminars on moral education for university and high school teachers. The headmaster (principal) of a Beijing high school for 'princelings' asked to talk to me privately to ask my advice how to guide 'the most selfish generation' ever born in Chinese history how to think about, and act for the benefit of others! These 'princelings' are now in 30s and should the CCP remain in power they will lead the nation in 20/30 years (not meritocratic at all). Are they having children if so, what sort of parents are they? To say that the government is 'encouraging single women to have children' is clearly disingenuous, when all that happened was that there were some regulatory changes, allowing them to have children and have to abort of be penalized in some way. All government benefits for having a child are only available to married couples. What an articulate spokeswoman for the CCP. You would never know that China is under the dictatorial thumb of the CCP listening to her!

i think this idea that only western liberal capitalist economies can have highly innovative and dynamic economies is a farce. it's also highly unlikely china will resume further liberalization.

it's quite literally written in the constitution that china seeks to have a highly dynamic and innovative socialist market economy. china's economy is likely to remain dominated by SOE/cooperatives with small enterprises being allowed to exist in the small-medium sphere.

As a Chinese man,I admire that is very good and objectice intervew.Mrs.Jin talking everything about the china is quite true right now.

China needs to stop stealing intellectual property from the west and claim it as their own. China also need to work with the international community. However, they rejected that idea and continue to go in the wrong path by bullying nearby countries and threatening them.
