Introducing the Asymod RCI 69 BASE DAR Hi Fi Asymmetrical AM and eSSB Transceiver.
The Asymod Ranger RCI 69 BASE DAR unit offers the basic functions needed for a Hi-Fi station. With front panel controls, including a built in AM demodulator which allows you to monitor yourself in Hi-Fi. The demodulator has level (volume) and tone controls. The demodulated audio from the detector is routed to the level and tone controls and then to the radio's built in audio amplifier. The amplifier output has been configured so that the audio when operating the demodulator is fed to the headphone jack in front of the radio but not to the radio's speaker when the headphones are disconnected to avoid feedback. This allows you to listen to the received signal when in receive mode and listen to your transmitted audio while in transmit mode using headphones. No need to listen to yourself using a separate receiver. The transmitted audio can be recorded using the playback recorder and you can play yourself back. The playback recorder is a 10 second recorder which allows for recording of the incoming signal and so then you can play them back on the air. The Asymod controls are all conveniently in the front panel, this provides quick access to your adjustments. As all Asymod installations, from the detectors to the audio amplifier, including the 6 kHz filter has been upgraded for Hi-Fi receive. The Line In connector and the VFO whine switch are mounted in the rear panel. With this setup, your Hi-Fi experience will be even better!
