Thank YOU! i have a question for you. I want to put the opensense between my modem and my router? Did you do this or did you put it after a router? Can Opensense assign dhcp addresses? I have tried putting it as my Lan after a router and it worked fine after router but I cant get it working as wan in-between modem and router. is it like PFsense where you cant use realtek nics?

Thanks. But..I could not verify the file and no amount of searching could I find all the instructions...so I just guessed the file was OK and tried to burn it with rufus. I could not get passed burning the USB. It keeps failing. I get a write error...any suggestions??

Many thanks. My previously stable PFSense 2.6 on a Protectli device has been dropping the ISP WAN port (1 Gbe fiber) for two months now, driving me crazy. Decided to shift to OPNSense, your guide helped, and it has been rock stable!

I spent a few days trying to find a good getting started guide and this was perfect. This is what got me running! Thanks a ton.

Nice video - As of now this is not really a fork anymore. OPNSense is now a different animal on its own

Can't wait for Zenarmor setup with IPS on Wan having allá sorts of issues getting that working. Zenarmor works relatively really well with very low false positives.
