I think double tap is double press the power button not double tap on the back (at least that's what the animation shows)

There should be 4 themes. Lightest, light, dark, darkest. Like Adobe is doing, but done right. Maybe even a neutral grayish one would be nice.

Glad my phone won’t get the Android 12, it looks rubbish to be honest. Seems to me it has mostly to do with Google’s plastic overpriced Pixel phones. Motorola One Zoom already has excellent scrolling screenshot, one-handed mode, quick launch camera with a double twist and plenty more.
People ought to stop falling for the big brands with their massive investment in advertising.

I have learnt a few things from this developer preview. Never ever buy a device based on just specifications itself on android Side. Software , display camera and haptics will be a key point in buying my new device and Sofware is the biggest priority.

Do people still buy phones that are not Huawei, Apple, Google or Samsung?

I use a Samsung A31 running on Android 10 and I have some of these features already 😕

it really just feels like google is playing catch up to OEMs like Samsung etc.

They need to change up the volume sliders, kind of what Samsung has done with One UI 3.1.

1. One hand mode: is about time Google is about time. (I have had that feature in Samsung for ages now).

I wish there was an indicator that lights up when the camera is used. It's there in IOS, wish android had come up with that, simple but a great security feature.

Why doesn't the quick settings shade go all the way up to the punch hole? It looks weird like that. Google should take advantage of that added area space. Shame

A lot of people are upset about the AMOLED black changing to gray. I am one of the weird people that is actually play with this. Here is why:

AMOLED black has black scroll delay when your screen is too dark or at a certain percentage. During the day I appreciate a lot of the dark grey colors because when my brightness is up I get no black scroll lag with the OLED pixels flipping on and off.

However, at night, I can turn the brightness down and grey will become black flipping the pixels off entirely. So it's a best of both worlds to me. Grey during the day with good brighteness no black scrolling lag. At night darkest display of black with (albeit) black scroll lag.

I will take brighter grey's during the day and blacks at night when my brightness is all the way down.

I prefer a dark grey over the deep blue, I hate how GBoard's auto theme dark mode is a deep blue while everything else is dark grey and amoled.

But still a massive keyboard dead space

I don't know who to blame for it but the animation situation on my Samsung phones are a joke.
animations are all buggy. sometimes they don't play, sometimes they play incorrectly and it's sooo lame, not to mention the stuttering.

Pixel please consider to launch mobiles in India cause you are the only Perfect Android optimized oem and true rival for iPhones !!! SO we need you 💕 🇮🇳 Hopefully Waiting for pixel 5a.
