Water pools in a small part of our back patio. About 6 different contractors have all quoted us thousands of dollars to tear up and redo the concrete slab. I couldn't help but think it must be possible to just overlay concrete with a proper grade, and sure enough, here is the technique. It may not win any beauty awards, but I'd rather that than a swamp for a patio.
ОтветитьCan i use this for a pool deck slope and then thin set travertine over it?
ОтветитьWhat kind of cement are you using...im assuming on small rock is in it?
ОтветитьDid you have to prime the original slab before you put this overlay on? And what brand of overlay did you use?
ОтветитьWonder if someone could use this to fix slope in shower pan ? Have a rental property where the one side of pan doesn’t have enough slope and needs to slope from drain up to maybe 3/4 inch to wall.
ОтветитьI had a concrete patio poured and the concrete dried to fast the guy went across it with knee pads and it holds water in three areas. He poured concrete up to the bottom of my only crawl space. Does that sound fixable without ripping it all out and repouring it all over again? Concrete was poured on rebarb
ОтветитьI'm a complete rookie, what would I use on that? some type of leveler? I have a 8 x 16 slab on the side of my house that I would like to build a shed on but the slab has a slope that goes towards the house. Any tips and tricks would be appreciated.
ОтветитьWhat material do you use?
Ответитьthis is eXactly the technic I was looking for! Thank you for sharing it!
ОтветитьWill the porch crack having a thin layer?
ОтветитьWhat was the mix used for this?
ОтветитьTHIS is the answer to my problem!!! Thank you!!!
ОтветитьHi, what type of concrete did you use? How do you prep the concrete ? Thanks
ОтветитьΚαλησπέρα εψαχνα ποσο καιρό να βρω αυτο ακριβώς που δειξατε σε αυτό το βίντεο. Σας ευχαριστώ πολύ με βοήθησε πάρα πολύ.
ОтветитьSomeone did a 16x20 area for me and it’s too pitched…would this technique work for such a large area or would I need to have the whole area broken up and put a new slab down?
ОтветитьWhere’s the flashing under the siding?
ОтветитьThis process looks doable. Thanks. Can you put pavers or Tera cotta tile over it? Thanks
ОтветитьMy front porch hold water and I have to sweep it off It's up by my door and I know it's not level and I want the water to drain off when I wash the porch How can I level it
ОтветитьAll I have to say is Thanks!
ОтветитьWouldn't the overlay need to be at least 2" thick to prevent premature cracking? How long would something like this last before having to redo or demo?
ОтветитьWhat do you do on the end of the slab?
ОтветитьThe screw idea is something ive never seen. Great job
ОтветитьWhat kind/brand of concrete overlay did you use? 🤔 Thank you! 😊
ОтветитьWhat's the best over lay material to use? What concrete and does it need screen underneath it?
ОтветитьExcellent tip 👌 is that just mortar you used to build it up ? Thanks
ОтветитьDid you seal the concrete first? If not why not?
Damp will rise and separate new layer from old if not done.
I have a concrete staircase against my house doing the same thing…..
ОтветитьI can't believe whoever layed that path had the fall going toward the house, god above I mean it's pretty trivial, poor homeowners, fair play for doing it right. My 12 year old son who helps me at weekends would have got that right without me watching him 🙄
ОтветитьThis is absolutely brilliant; anyone could do it! Can't wait to fix some poorly poured concrete at my mom's house. This will save so much money!
Ответитьcan a bad concrete job that is uneven in the backyard be fixed like this ?
ОтветитьThanks for this video. Jusr bought a place and am having this same issue on the enclosed breezeway that connects my house to my garage, except rather than water going into basement, it runs under the sill plate of the wall and runs into a low spot in the enclosed breezeway floor (same concrete pour).
How well can I expect a concrete overlay to bond to the existing concrete pour? Existing pour has a smooth texture and is painted so obviously there would be some surface prep.
Jason you are a magician. Thank for the great tip!
ОтветитьWhat overlay product do you use and can you recommend one if I need to level up to two inches?
ОтветитьYour a life saver watched a few videos that weren’t helping but the screw in the board for slope and the other old boy tips really helped thanks
ОтветитьI want to call you. How can I reach u by phone?
ОтветитьThat was Beazer sub
ОтветитьHorrible technique
ОтветитьWhat is the mix ?
ОтветитьI’m literally sitting here going no way it can be this easy. And then you proceed to show us how easy of a fix this is .. thank you so much can’t wait to start working on my back porch always have water puddling right in the middle of it.
ОтветитьWhat material did you use? How did you bond the new to the old? How did you mix the proper slump?
ОтветитьWhat do he use to spray the wood?
ОтветитьSo, u can just pour this over the existing concrete and it’ll bond properly?
ОтветитьIs there a primer to be used before the cement goes down?
ОтветитьCan you use this method for a concrete driveway slab?
Ответитьhave a question though. I been reading everywhere that poring concrete over concrete not a good idea. anyways I I have a 30 feet by 4 feet slab on side of garage that has a negative slope towards garage and water is been getting inside garage over the years. My parents live in garage. So will this method work to fix negative slope or should I just remove and pour new concrete with new slope to fix problem? or maybe I should have a french system installed which sounds expensive:(
ОтветитьThanks for the video. I checked out the easy patch, but shipping is like $80 for the $22 bag. Would you be able to recommend a similar product from a local store like Home Depot?
ОтветитьHi! My concrete stairs at the front porch are sinking. Can I add cement on top of them to level them without raising those steps?
ОтветитьHi, is this product sold only in the states? Would be able to recommend similar product in New Zealand
ОтветитьThat's a good idea.
ОтветитьHi guys,,, i just get a patio concrete floor ,,, but the slope its to much its 7" at the end of the fall,, how can i fix that ? ,, its 34' all long the house and 18' out ,,,
