I was thinking of doing this with my E46 Sport Wagon, but I have 2 crazy power amps that shot my bass through my 12” subs, and sick voice set up…would your idea work to run with my existing setup? Or am I limited to just that 50 watt amp?
Ответитьusb DAB/SNR thats what i got for android radio, tv and radio!
ОтветитьIf you wanted to keep it cool drill a small hole in your aircon vent above it :D ........ lol
Ответитьwould have watched more if you cared about audio
ОтветитьActually raspberry pi jack output is super bad, so the sound will be flat.
ОтветитьLove this kind on projects. Good work.
ОтветитьI can tell you like to overcomplicate everything
ОтветитьI am building a unit right now, and was wondering if using an UPS module with graceful shutdown will be a good option instead of using the 2 relay system you have?
Ответитьafter 2 years, how reliable has it been? How many times have you needed to tweak/change things for functionality?
ОтветитьGreat job mate!
ОтветитьIs there a way to have this controll the ac?
ОтветитьWhere did you get the 5v relays?
ОтветитьWhat was the logic behind making a flat piece of plastic out of PLA from a 3d printer to mount the PI on, Would it not have been a much faster and simpler option to cut out the desired shape out of a existing flat sheet of material like delrin or acrylic, and simply drill holes as needed
ОтветитьWhat Bluetooth adaptor are you using?
ОтветитьGreat work. Question for you, please. You mention an ESP to help with turning on and shutting down the Raspberry Pi. What ESP is it? Do you have a model number, please? Thank you.
ОтветитьDope video, thanks brother
ОтветитьAWESOME JOB
Ответитьnice job
Ответитьreallllyy hope you can help me, i hooked up the same amplifier you used to my car speakers and to a usb sound car(which works with a headset) but cannot get it working, it is supplied with 12 volts and the aux in is connected identically to what you have
ОтветитьIs there a way to have rca preamps cables to connect to amplifiers?
ОтветитьI have FAW Bestune B70 car 2023, i need to add android auto and apple car play to it if it is possible.
Or i need to add carbitlink application on it in order to be able to mirror my phone in the car screen. can you help me with this issue?
Did you incorporate any protection on the power supply against over-voltage and reverse polarity?
Ответитьdo a raspberry pie ecu tunner with custom lcd gauge(s)
Ответитьyou look like the Chinese actor Wang Baoqiang
ОтветитьI've been playing with streaming music for years in the car. I first mounted an old tablet, which worked for 2 years until the screen died from the heat (touch screen connections pulled off). This let me know that only quality LCDs should be used. I've been running an RPI (3?) with Openauto Pro in the car for years now with the official 7" RPI screen, and it's worked very well except when Google updates their software and it breaks for a little bit. Great to see this video about it. Very nice!
ОтветитьHow do you like the screen? What is the nits? Is it bright enough during the day?
ОтветитьHey nice video, what is the model of that esp?
ОтветитьThank you for providing this to humanity
ОтветитьI live in Nassau County. Could you install in my 14 Honda Accord EX-L sedan?
ОтветитьHow did you manage the wiring harness from car to pi? Do you have steering wheel controls?
Ответитьoh this so cool. i was thinking of building this. Just wondering i have a dead chinese android head unit the display is great but was wondering what things i should do to fit it with raspberry pi
ОтветитьSorry Im late to the party but mausberry circuits has a power board specifically for running you Pi off of an ignition source. Then you can program it to gracefully shut down your Pi. The cool thing is , you can program it to turn off the Pi after the car is turned off, for instance I have mine turn off about 30 mins after I turn off the car so if I just make a quick trip into the store it will not need to boot again.
ОтветитьI did this build almost verbatim… but used a Pi 3B and I used a rather small 3.5” screen to blend into my vintage looking radio on my VW Beetle restoration. I bought some reasonably rated and priced Kenwood speakers and was successful with CarPlay music, navigation and at least the sound from calling but microphone isn’t working yet. Not sure why. … but I have a question… did you need to do anything to get good quality from this Amp and Pi setup??? I have plenty of volume but the sound is a bit scratchy and muffled. Any suggestions? I tried some changes to the OpenAuto Equalizer and fiddled with some of the sound settings on the Pi itself but still can’t improve. Please please please any suggestions?
Ответитьsuper dope! is there a wiring diagram available for this?
ОтветитьCould I pay you to build me one?
ОтветитьHey can we get some of those updates on this project???
ОтветитьIf it’s raining hard that mic position maybe regrettable but great job overall man
ОтветитьIs this better than crankshaft?
ОтветитьWhat do you use for your bench top power supply for the 12V?
Ответитьhave you added the reverse camera?
ОтветитьYuck digital amp very poor sound quality .
Ответитьawesome video. I wanted to do this for my classic car, however I dont want to delete the old radio because it is original, but I found a spot I could add a raspberry screen. I just want to use the raspberry screen for a backup camera and map directions, I have already retrofitted bluetooth into my factory radio and a sound system, would it be possible for my one single phone to connect to both my bluetooth radio as well as the raspberry pi at the same time. displaying only the maps to the raspberry pi and the music to the radio?
ОтветитьHey there, its been over a year, are you still running this openautopro head unit in your vehicle?
ОтветитьHow to install DSP (software or pi DAC) in raspberry Pi for this setup?
ОтветитьWow, this is exactly what I was looking for! I use CalyxOS on my Pixel which doesn't have Android Auto so I was looking for a way to load my own music on the head unit itself. Those shitty Android ones are always an option, of course, but I just don't trust them. I wonder if there's a way to make it fit in a single DIN with the touchscreen itself being the only thing that sticks out?
ОтветитьRelays are overkill for an rpi power button.
