People are always surprised when they pull the oil dipstick on an engine that has sat around without being run for long periods of time to find that the engine oil looks like new. It isn’t, the oil has just sat so long that the carbon deposits have separated from the oil and settled to the bottom of the oil pan. Once the engine get started again, everything will mix back together and the oil will look black again. If it doesn’t, someone actually did change the oil just before it was parked!

Envious .... I wonder what it is like to live in a part of this country where abandoned cars , trucks , tractors and who knows what else are for the mere taking🤔 , just waiting to be found and started before taking them home 😂

How in the hell can you try or want to start these cars with gas that's been sitting in the tanks for 20 30 years, or you don't care, or it doesn't matter if you use dirty gas. What is the point I'll getting the engine running if you're going to run dirty fuel through it, I don't know.

You know what puzzles me is I watch these videos where you guys find these cars and trucks that haven't run in 40 or 50 yrs. And you do a little work on them and they run. Why the heck did the people just let them sit there in the first place .

Are you sure you're checking the transmission fluid correctly? When I was a lad and that Ranchero was on it's first owner I was taught you check and automatic transmission with the engine running and the car in park.

I would (If it were me lol) try and keep that ol girl. But maybe it's not worth the money it would take to get her fully road worthy again I don't know? But those cars a great machines and make great vehicles in place of a truck or a van. Or even a killer burn out car!

I wonder why Ford made a 302? It’s not much bigger than a 289! Curious 😳I loved the little Ha, Ha when it moved.😅

I actually saved the 1969 40 Galaxy 500 from the scrap yard. It was on its way to the scrap yard. If I didn't buy it and all I paid for the car was 1500. Bucks runs drives needs somebody panels and a hood. Some of the things but it one's drives which is good. I already put bringing tires on I'm just waiting for the title.

Has this feller ever said what he does with most of the vehicles after getting them running again? I'm sure sells them off or something but that's always my biggest question I'm like it runs now, now what's it's future? Lol

When you have something that smells inside, spray it with vinegar. The vinegar will be strong, but not as bad as what is in there, and it will kill a lot of the bacteria and make it smell better.
