I was just thinking if it's giving you a hard time to pull the obstruction out maybe you could add like a spray of WD-40 or some kind of lubricant just to get it out and then rinse it clean but I would imagine they usually come out pretty easy.... But because you were filming a video it had to give you a hard time lol

About to try this. I lost spin. The agitator was broke. Fixed it. Still nothing. Replaced the clutch and it tried to agitate. No spin.
Replaced the gears. Now it just hums. I can't figure this thing out.

How do you change the base stand? i.e the metal tripad stand at bottom. Please do a video demonstration.

When pulling out the obstruction, could you use a tool to rotate the impeller to assist?

I've watched dozen videos right now and I sitll haven't been able to diagnose what the problem is with my washer. It won't spin, it doesn't agitate the clothes, It's not over fillled.

I'm just seeing this for the first time! I have been repairing these types of washers since 1997! I feel you, brother! I know these things up, down, left, right, in, out, top to bottom! There are not much to them, but if you don't know, then you're screwed! I have repaired or replaced everything there is to repair or replace on these things! Funny story, we delivered a new, in the box washer to a customer and installed it in her basement. There was a scratch, less than 1 inch from the manufacturer on the back of the washer, ABSOLUTELY nothing that affected the performance of the machine, and she wanted a replacement, even after we went as far as offering her $100.00 off the price. So we packed the machine back up and replaced it for her, behind a scratch that she would never see unless she moved the washer and looked behind it! My buddy, who worked with me, ended up buying that washer for 95 bucks, and after 25 years, it still works great! He hasn't fixed anything on it. That lady paid $350.00 for a washer she could've kept for $250.00, and 25 years later, that washer is still going strong. With that less than 1 inch scratch on the back of it!😂

Why don't you stick something in the hole where the shaft goes in and turn it while you are pulling on the sock???

Emptied her out, flipped her upside down, disconnect the hose between drum and pump…1 ankle sock and 2 bra wires!! LoL

Great video! I have a set of extra long needle nose pliers, ( straight, 90’ and 45’). The longer handles allow the jaws to open wider in a narrower space. One of my better investment’s.

Man I’m trying to figure my machine out the coupler is fine, basket drive replaced, pump spins fine, machine agitates fine or just doesn’t drain or spin it makes the noise your washer made. Any ideas???

My top loading GE washer won't drain or spin . The part is on the lid. I've taken that off but I don't know how to test that part.
